London, Jun 17: A new documentary titled ‘Death of a Gentleman’ casts fresh doubts over Test cricket’s future and asks if the game is losing identity in the face of stiff competition from commerce-driven Twenty20.
‘Death of a Gentleman’ talks about declining Test cricket and the murky world of the sport’s administration, featuring interviews with ICC chairman N. Srinivasan, ECB chief Giles Clarke, and former cricketers Kevin Pietersen and Ravi Shastri among others. The film, directed by Sam Collins and Jarrod Kimber, premiered at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival last week and will be screened in London next week.
It had been in the making for four years.
