HDK participates in rituals for construction of Sri Kalabyreshwara Temple at New Jersy

Bengaluru, June 30: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday participated in the rituals performed for laying foundation stone to construct Sri Kalabyreshwara Temple in New Jersy, US, and foundation stone was laid today.

According to information reaching here here, the Chief Minister, who is currently on 10-day tour of United States, lauded the efforts of Sri Adichunchinagiri Trust for its effort to take Karnataka's rich culture and heritage in the United States.

The construction of Temple will give boost to spread Indian, specially Karnataka Culture and heritage, in foreign countries and it will help Kannadigas stayinng here and visiting the worlds richest country and helps in enriching their knowledge about culture and heritage of their home land. Hence People of Karnataka who are staying here and those who visit should contribute their myth for construction of the Temple.

Bengaluru, Jul 5: Archbishop Emeritus of Bangalore Bernard Moras has been diagnosed with mild symptoms of Covid-19 and his condition now is said to be stable.

"Most Reverend Bernard Moras, Archbishop Emeritus of Bangalore, had gone to St. John's Medical College for a routine check-up on July 2 as he was not well. Yesterday (July 3), it was confirmed that he has mild symptoms of Covid-19 and the doctors have stated that his condition at present is stable," Archbishop of Bangalore Peter Machado said in a message.

"We assure our beloved Archbishop Emeritus of the prayers of all the faithful in the Archdiocese and wish him a speedy recovery, he said.

The Archbishop Emeritus is aged about 78.

Mangaluru, Mar 11: Nitte Education Trust is among the top 50 reputed institutions in the country selected by NITI Aayog for setting up Atal Incubation Centre under Union government's Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) scheme.

NITI Aayog has sanctioned Rs 9 Crore to Nitte Education Trust for setting up a full-fledged Incubation Centre at Nitte, of which Rs 2.5 crores has been received as first instalment according to a press release here on Wednesday.

Atal Incubation Centre- Nitte provides start-ups with valuable guidance, technological aid, access to investors, networking and facilitating a host of other services required for start-ups to survive and scale. Start-ups also receive direction through the robust chain of mentors who give sector-specific information and real-time practical guidance.

Udupi, Jan 25: The accused, who planted a crude bomb at the Mangalore International Airport on January 20, was brought to Udupi on Saturday, to collect information, as part of the spot investigation, police said here.

According to police officials, accused Aditya Rao was brought to Karnataka Bank Kadiyali branch, where Rao had a Safe Locker. The team opened the locker and seized the documents, along with a Box.

They said the seized documents, along with the Box, will be sent to the FSL for investigation.
