Pune, Oct 23: The Northeast Monsoon rainfall is very likely to commence over south-east Peninsular India around October 26, predicted the Indian Meteorological Department in a bulletin here today.
Thunderstorm, accompanied with lightning and gusty winds, is very likely to occur at isolated places over Tamil Nadu and Kerala during next 24 hours, it said.
Heavy rain is very likely at isolated slices in Kerala during the period.
Rain or thundershowers had occurred at most sections in Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at many nooks in Kerala during past 24 hours.
They had occurred at a few portions in Jharkhand and Lakshadweep during the period.
