Hidayah Foundation’s Fun & Care Fest – 2014 draws huge crowd in Riyadh

Riyadh, May 23: ‘Fun & Care Fest – 2014’, the annual get-together of Hidayah Foundation was held on May 15 at the Al Rushd Istrah in Riyadh, where in over 1500 guests from different parts of India and the sub-continent took part. Qadir Ahmed from Shaheen Group of Institutions, Bidar Karnataka, Abdul Salam Puttige, chief editor of Vartha Bharathi newspaper and Abdul Malick Mujahid, chairman of Dar-ul-Salam Publications, were among the guests.

The main sponsor In-Land group was represented by their marketing manager Pradeep Hegde. Hidayah Foundation Chairman Khasim Ahmed, President of HQ Core Committee, Haneef Golthamajal, Ziauddin and U H Umer were also present.

The main programme began with a recitation of the verses of Quran by Master Aqeel Farooq. Mohammed Ashfaq, President of HF Riyadh made a brief presentation on the past achievements of Hidayah Foundation and the recent developments that are taking place in India.

He highlighted the programme of uplifting the downtrodden with 5 prong approach starting from providing food and basic amenities, addressing the health factor, educating them, self-sustenance programme and infrastructure. All the five programmes set under a priority basis for the overall development. He stressed that thorough study is essential on their problems, before we move on to solutions.

Also he highlighted the developments on the Hidayah Share and Care Colony wherein 39 new houses are built for poor and needy people, and HF’s new project CDC (Community Development Centre) The CDC building is under construction in the same colony for the area of 20110 sq. feet. It houses a multipurpose hall, a self-reliance center, Centre for the physically and mentally challenged, admin office, health clinic, youth development center for job oriented courses, Madrasa, Adult education and Staff accommodation.

Ashfaq also stressed about the ration programme responsibility taken by the Riyadh unit which feeds about 180 families in many villages surrounding Mangalore. He invited the audience to participate in this noble effort at the rate of SR: 75/- per month per family and there was a tremendous response from the audience. Hafiz Imran Omri delivered the lecture on charity. He said charity should be collective efforts and it has blessing of Allah as well as it has the capacity to become power of community.

Mohammed Ali B K and Sheikh Deerah were in charge of the food section. Abdul Khader Khozama was in charge of tea stall. Abdul Hameed and team was responsible for the reception. Shameer Ahmed Bava and his team conducted many sports event for the men and children. Salman Noor, Abdul Aziz Sheikh, Fazlu, Fazlu Kanoo, Farooq , B.K brothers, Farooq Muttinakoppa, Saad , N Siddique Darama and Shamshuddin Mulki put in a lot of effort to make this event successful. Mohammed Mateen was continuously announcing the HF activities and the sponsors’ names. Shazli kept the audience on their toes with his continuous barrage of interesting quiz questions.

A similar programme was organized on the ladies side, and this year the women’s wing worked extra hard to impress the female visitors under the leadership of Mrs. Gazala Ilyas. HF activities and its development was presented by Ms. Juveiria Abdul Majeed B K. There was also a skit presented by young girls of HF team. Ladies programme was compered by Sureena Ahmed.

There were prizes for Islamic and General quiz, Sports events and also there was a raffle draw for major prizes.

The event was held under the guidance of the president Mohammed Ashfaq and supervision of the event manager Ilyas Hussain. Ismail Kemmunje and team and exhibited their talent in putting up a beautiful display for the event.

Riyadh, Feb 24: Indian Islahi Center, Riyadh (IICR) kicked off the propagation campaign of "Learn the Quran" national conference, which is slated to be held on March 27, 2020 at Nofa Istiraha, Exit 18, Riyadh, Kingdom Saudi Arabia. It's IICR's 20th successful program.

Kerala Legislative Assembly's opposition leader & Congress leader, Ramesh Chennitthala inaugurated the campaign that was held at Voco Hotel in Riyadh, capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ramesh was on two days visit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The objective of the campaign is to instil the keenness & to keep creating the continuous awareness amongst the community on Quran. It also enables to recite the Quran with Tajweed (science of reading the Quran) & correct form.

Aboobakker Edthanatukkara (President of IICR), Abdul Qayyum Bustani, Kunhi Kumbala, Abdullah Vallanchira, Adv. Riyadh, Jan 28: The celebration of the 71st Republic Day was held on January 26th by the Central Committee of the Indian Social Forum Riyadh at the Ramada Hotel Auditorium in Riyadh. People from different Indian states and different religious backgrounds were present during the event.

The program was inaugurated with the unity song, Saleem Moulavi– Regional committee member India Fraternity Forum/Riyadh inaugurated the program.

Social Forum Central Committee president Janab Harris Mangaluru chaired the program and welcomed the guests. In his presidential speech he described and uncovered stories of freedom struggle and participants of Indian Muslims for the freedom fight. He urged everyone to fight against unconstitutional Citizenship Amendment Bill which passed by Centre government. He said that the We will continue its agitation against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the NRC and would not relent unless the Union government withdrew the Act.

Indian Social Forum Karnataka State Committee member Janab Mohammed Naveed delivered the Republic Day message. He said India was formed based on concept of ‘unity in diversity’ and it becomes every Indians’ responsibility to safeguard it. He expressed concern over CAA, NRC and NPR. Across India, students at other universities are against the Citizenship Amendment Act passed by Centre government.  The law offers amnesty to undocumented migrants from three neighboring Muslim-majority countries but only if they are non-Muslim. Critics say that by excluding Muslims, the law establishes a religious test for Indian citizenship, in violation of the secularism enshrined in India's constitution. The Indians, irrespective of caste, creed, religion and region have firmly resolved to oppose the draconian laws and fascist moves to debar the poor. Constitution granted to every person and citizen of India who are not ready to put them on a test of ideology of RSS and programs of BJP to implement the Brahmanist mind-set. He said that the police atrocities against CAA/NRC/NPR protesters had increased only in BJP-ruled States and  there were several loose ends in the police story about the incidents leading to the firing.

Dubai: A non-profitable social organization, KSCC is delivering a great service to the community during this pandemic situation.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club is a civil organization registered under Community Development Authority (CDA) involved in implementing various UAE government initiatives, blood donation drives, health campaigns, sport events, charity works, awareness programs and much more.

KSCC is currently actively liaising with Dubai government authorities in discharging the needs and requirements of the people in these challenging covid-19 pandemic times. It is also involved the activities such as logistics, coordinating stores, mobilizing isolation centers, equipping quarantine facilities and volunteering services.

During these testing times, KSCC is also facilitating the Guidance to the general public, follow-up up to 122 covid positive cases, counselling the affected, assisting the references and providing the ever-necessary emotional support by setting up a team of 24 reserved persons for call center helplines.

As per the request from DHA (Dubai Health Authority) KSCC has successfully organized the blood donation drive and donated upto 141 units of blood with the help of KSCC members & supporters.

Apart from above, KSCC is also engaged in serving needy by distributing the food provisional kit (Yestahloon) from the very 1st day of lockdown till day by their special task force team under guidelines of CDA, and also taking into consideration the month of Ramadan, team is successfully distributing Iftar food & provision kit with the help of donors.

In the 1st Phase, KSCC covered 2421 beneficiaries by providing 440 provisional food kits, 435 food pack and 529 Iftar kits.

As per the CDA guidelines, club is also engaged in following up the health condition of senior citizens living in UAE.

KSCC special team is also engaged in clearing documentation and formalities related to dead body repatriation until its final procedures and handing over to relatives with help of UAE governments authorities. Total 5 dead bodies are repatriated in their 1st phase of service.

KSCC is also having a center controlled special task team to assist all above activities during the covid-19 pandemic to continue the services to general public.

KSCC thanks all Government authorities, Members in different task team, supporters and Sponsors company MAERSK, MALABAR GOLD & DIAMOND and TAMIL ENTREPRENEUR for their support and also request extend their support to consolidate the above demanding service and deliver our best possible assistance not only because it is the month of Ramadan, but also our responsibility to reach out to the poor and needy, during this fight against Covid-19.
