Hubballi, Dec 20: Hindutva workers hold flags in their hands and not talwars (swords) because they have great faith in the police department, said senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Raghunandan.

Addressing a protest meeting organised by Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti here, condemning the murder a few murders the state, he said: “If the police had not performed their duties promptly, the Hindus would have taken up swords in their hand.

"Police have lathi to protect people, and therefore, we have not picked up stones. If police continue to be mere followers of the anti-Hindu Congress government, people will lose faith in them," he said adding that if the faith of Hindus in police department vanishes, then no police or anti-nationals will remain here.

“Hindus should use their voting power and law to fight against the efforts to suppress Hindus and patriots. Murder of pro-Hindu activists will not stop our struggle and Hindus will use physical force as the last option,” said Raghunandan, who is the south central zone convener of 'Pragnya Pravaha'.

He said SFI and AIDSO were promoting Naxalism in the name of students' movements.

RSS is anti national and terrorist organisatin and they hold gun from first day.  Their first target was Bapuji.  However, they are not ashamed on this barbaric killing and instead worshipping the killer as God.  What elese we can expect from these hate mongers.  They are not patriot to our nation and dont respect fellow citizens.  They collaborated with British pre indipendence days.  Not a single person from sangh parivar sacrificed his life for indian independnce.   Its shame that they are portraiting themselves as the most patriots.   They hoisted Pak flag in Karnataka couple of years back.

Bengaluru, Jan 30: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who reached the national capital on Thursday, said he will discuss the much-awaited Ministry expansion with the BJP high command.

"It's been long that I visited Delhi. I will meet the party national president J P Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah and take their suggestions on the cabinet expansion," Yediyurappa told reporters.

The chief minister said he will also call on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and discuss about development issues related to Karnataka.

Yediyurappa has been anxiously waiting for the high command's nod to expand his ministry amid intense lobbying by the aspirants.

Opposition parties have been critical of the BJP and Yediyurappa over the delay in cabinet expansion, alleging that he was weak and that the administration had collapsed.

As the chief minister has already made it clear that 11 of the disqualified JDS-Congress MLAs who got re-elected in the bypolls on BJP tickets will be made ministers, lobbying has been on in the party for the remaining ministerial berths.

Currently, there are 18 Ministers, including the chief minister in the cabinet that has a sanctioned strength of 34. Sixteen berths are vacant.

New Delhi, Feb 13: Two SpiceJet pilots have been suspended today for an improper landing at Mangalore Airport which damaged three runway edge lights. The incident took place on October 31 last year when the private carrier's Boeing 737 aircraft was returning from Dubai.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) suspended the licenses of the pilots for four-and-half months from the date of the incident.

DGCA had issued a show cause notice to the Pilot in Command and the First Officer demanding explanation of the "lapses" and found their replies unsatisfactory, the aviation watchdog said in a statement.

Investigation revealed that the touchdown was improper as it deviated to the the left on the runway in turn damaging three runway edge lights.
