I am on good terms with Siddaramaiah, claims H Vishwanath after defeat

Bengaluru, Dec 14: Former minister H Vishwanath on Saturday claimed that he and former Chief minister Siddaramaiah are not foes, and enjoying good friendship, despite being in two different political parties.

Speaking to media here, after paying a courtesy visit to Siddaramaiah, who is recovering from ailments relating to cardiac problem, he said, “I am a good friend of Siddaramaiah, and enjoy mutual respect” the former minister, who had defected to BJP from the JD(S) recently, and triggered the fall of the Congress-JD(S) coalition government in the state said that “both myself and Siddaramaiah are not enemies”.

Udupi, Mar 24: Four people, including two women, suspected to have infected with Coron were admitted to the hospitals in Udupi district

According to the District Administration, in all, 51 samples were sent to the laboratory for test and 40 samples have been tested negative.

The result of remaining 11 swabs were awaited.

At least 21 people had been admitted to the isolation wards of hospitals in the district. Nine had been discharged from the isolation wards after they recovered from the health complications on Monday, it further said.

Mangaluru, Apr 26: City Police Commissioner P S Harsha on Sunday said that the news about the implementation of seal down in some wards of Mangaluru city is fake and urged the public not to pay any heed to it.

Taking to twitter, Mr Harsha wrote, ''Some miscreants are floating some old speculative…TV news reports of seal down in some wards of Mangaluru city. It’s fake news.....Don’t Heed to fake news.''

Mangaluru, Apr 4: About 20,000 quintal boiled rice has been distributed among the ration card holders through Public Distribution System, District-in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said here on Saturday.

As people in the district prefer boiled rice over white rice, the government has given approval for distributing boiled rice. From next month, only boiled rice will be distributed in the district at fair price shops.

In the last two days, rice has been distributed among 61,302 cardholders in the district.
