Mumbai, Feb 2: Music composer and singer Amaal Mallik, who has taken up the duties of a judge in a reality show, says that he is quite sensitive towards the young participants of the show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs" while making critical comments on their singing performances as opposed to his uncle Anu Malik.

Talking about his new role as a judge and how he is handling eliminations, Amaal told news agency here: "Look, I am not Anu Malik, I am a new Mallik…(laughs) so, I am really sensitive towards kids and whenever I comment on a participant's performance in a critical manner, I make sure that I am honest but not harsh because at the end of the day, they are children."

Amaal is the nephew of singer-composer Anu Malik, who judged a singing-based reality show "Indian Idol" last year till he was accused of sexual harassment. While judging, some felt that Anu used to make harsh comments.

"Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs", which will premiere on February 9 on Zee TV, offers a platform to young singers between the age of 5 and 15.

Asked if the system of elimination is heartbreaking, Amaal said: "Honestly, we have to look at the whole process very objectively. There is a talent that needs little more practice to compete at a certain level and when we eliminate them, that means they are going to be better when they take part in a competition next time.

"The platform will remain, opportunities will come, but talent can make it to the top if only well prepared."

Amaal started his career in 2014 in Bollywood. He has made hit songs like "Sooraj dooba hain", "Main hoon hero tera" and "Aashiq surrender hua".

He is co-judging along with singers Richa Sharma and Shaan. He is one of the youngest judges of the show.

Asked about his contribution, Amaal said: "I have got a chance to help them to become the singing stars of tomorrow, I am happy."

Washington, May 26: Making a slight change to the name of their newborn, Tesla CEO Elon Musk and his singer girlfriend Grimes have now named their first child X AE A-Xii.

The difference is only in the numeral part of the name which is now written in the Roman format.

Earlier this month, the celebrity couple hogged headlines for naming their son X AE A-12.

The change in the name came when an Instagram follower of the Canadian singer asked if she had considered changing the name of the child and she replied with, "X AE A-Xii."

However, the performer didn't provide further insight concerning the reason behind the change.

Canadian singer Grimes gave birth to her first child on May 4.

The 32-year-old had earlier taken to Twitter and explained the meaning of the baby's name.

Bihar, Mar 5: A complaint has been filed before a court in Bihar against lyricist Javed Akhtar over his remarks on the FIRs being registered against expelled AAP councillor Tahir Hussain in the wake of Delhi riots.

The complaint was lodged on Wednesday by Amit Kumar, a local advocate, before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Thakur Aman Kumar.

On the basis of a newspaper report, the complainant has alleged that Akhtar's remarks were seditious and promoted religious hatred.

The media report was based on Akhtar's tweet of February 27 that "So many killed, so many injured, so many houses burned, so many shops looted so many people turned destitute but police has sealed only one house and looking for his owner. Incidentally, his name is Tahir. Hats off to the consistency of the Delhi police."

The violence in northeast Delhi claimed at least 42 lives and left over 200 injured. The former Rajya Sabha member was heavily trolled for the tweet.

In a subsequent tweet, Akhtar who asserted that he is a non-believer and a rationalist, had clarified that he was not asking "why Tahir but why ONLY Tahir and not even an FIR against those who have openly threatened violence in the presence of the police".

The matter is likely to come up for hearing on March 25.
