I am working as a Clerk for the people and not to a particular Party: HDK

Hassan, Feb 15: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said that he is working as Clerk for the people of Karnataka and not working to a particular party.

Referring to BJP National President Amit Shah's statement at a BJP Booth level organisers meeting at Sindanoor in Raichur District Yesterday, Mr Kumaraswamy said that " I am not working as Clerk for Congress as alleged by him (Mr Shah) but for the people of Karnataka. I am working towards fulfilling people’s wishes. Being national President of a political party he (Shah) should have not made such remarks. However, it shows his character”.

Referring to death of Mr H Guru, Soldier from a village in Mandya District of Karnataka, in the suicide bomber attack on CRPF bus in which 45 people were killed at Pulwama District in Srinagar-Kashmir yesterday, he said that he has assured a government job to wife of the Martyr and have asked the Mandya District Incharge Minister to collect details about her educational qualification etc.

Mangaluru, July 13: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary on Monday said that all COVID-19 patients in the district will be treated for free in the hospitals of all medical colleges in the district.

Speaking to newsmen after visiting the COVID-19 treatment facility at KMC Hospital here, Poojary stated that all COVID-19 patients including BPL families, APL families, migrant workers and those without a ration card, will be treated free of charge in the district’s medical colleges. Patients can show their Aadhaar card at the hospital and get free treatment.

Provision of free treatment for COVID-19 patients at Wenlock hospital will be continued. In Dakshina Kannada district, the number of people recovering from the virus and being discharged hospitals is high. There is no need for the people of the district to panic. The government is committed to the health of the people, Poojary said.

Mangaluru, Mar 29: The test report of the man from Uppoor in Udupi district, who committed suicide fearing he had contracted coronavirus infection, has returned negative for the virus.

Health department officials in Udupi said the post- mortem test report had shown that he did not have the virus infection and asked the people in the area not to panic.

Gopalakrishna Madivala (56), had hanged himself on Wednesday suspecting he had the disease, leaving a death note to family members asking them to stay safe.

Bengaluru, May 10: Karnataka on Sunday reported 59 new cases of coronavirus, taking the total number of cases in the state to 848, informed state health department.
Out of the total number of cases, 422 people have been discharged and 31 have died due to the infection in the state.
The health department further informed that six COVID-19 patients are currently in the Intensive Care Unit.
