Mysuru, Sept 7: BJP leader and Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha has sought police protection following an alleged threat to his life from a Twitter user.
In a letter to the Mysuru City Police Commissioner, Mr. Simha said a Twitter user by name Ananthamurthy B had given death threat to him following journalist Gauri Lankesh’s murder.
Mr. Simha has asked the police to arrest the Twitter user and take necessary action.
New Delhi, May 20: In further relaxation of lockdown rules, domestic flights will begin operations from May 25 in a calibrated manner. Currently, only cargo and evacuation flight services are allowed.
The nationwide lockdown to halt the spread of coronavirus is in place till May 31. However, certain relaxations have been allowed.
All airports and air carriers are being informed to be ready for operations from next week, tweeted civil aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
The standard operating procedures for passenger movement will be separately issued by the ministry, said the minister.
Mangaluru, Jun 25: In a shocking development, as many as five post-graduate (PG) doctors have tested positive for coronavirus in Mangaluru.
The one male and four female doctors – all aged around 28 years – are asymptomatic and are being treated at the designated covid hospital in the city.
All the five PG doctors of Kasturba Medical College were deputed at Govt. Lady Goschen Hospital and District Wenlock Hospital (Covid Hospital).
Meanwhile, around 30 medicos have been quarantined.
According to sources, the five doctors were staying in a residential apartment in the city. The apartment is likely to be sealed.
