I will be the next CM of Karnataka, so don’t harass BJP workers: Yeddy warns police

Bengaluru, Jan 11: Karnataka BJP chief B S Yeddyurappa today asserted that he would become chief minister after the coming assembly elections and warned police officials working as "puppets" of the ruling Congress that the consequences "will not be right" for them.

Addressing a rally as part of his 'Nava Karnataka Parivartana Yatre' at Sira in Tumkur district, the state BJP president said, "I want to tell our police officers, after three or four months I will come as Chief Minister."

"Those police officials who are acting as puppets of the Congress, harassing our karyakartas against law by adding their name to the rowdies' list and creating an atmosphere of fear... I want to warn that consequences will not be right for you once we come back to power," Yeddyurappa said.

State Assembly elections are due in Karnataka early this year.

The BJP, which has set a target of winning 150 seats in the polls, has named Yeddyurappa as its Chief Ministerial candidate.

Hello Mungerilal your cm dream is like Thirukana Kanasu. Be mature and talk like a qualified poloiticIan. Police dept are  honest with their duty. If you became CM Law and order and Indian Constitution is equal to all. You RSS have to bend in front Indian Constituton. We all experienced your dirty mind and capacity during your past ruling. Karnataka is not belongs to any desk drohi it is belong to qualified patriot Indians. Your rss policy will never work out. Surathkal, Jan 4: The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have signed agreementsfor joint research and development of technology for application in space, a statement said here on Friday.

As part of the agreement, which was signed by P Venkatakrishnan, Director of ISRO CBPO Division and Prof Umamaheswar Rao, Director, NITK, ISRO will establish the Regional Academic Center for Space (RACS) at NITK.

Mangaluru, Jul 6: Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh has rubbished the social media rumours about lockdown in the district from July 8 to 25.

The Viral Rumour

A false message which is going viral on social media including WhatsApp claims that several organisations in Dakshina Kannada in a meeting have unanimously decided observe lockdown from July 8 to July 25. During this period essential services will be available only till 1 p.m.

DC’s clarification

“Don’t believe in such false rumours. Currently the lockdown is from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Every Sunday there will be total lockdown till August 2. People should continue to maintain social distance and follow all the guidelines to prevent the spread of covid-19,” said the deputy commissioner.

Bengaluru, May 27: Mebina Michael, who contested in Pyate Hudgir Halli Life season 4, is killed in a road accident on Tuesday. The incident occurred on National Highway 75 at 4.30 pm in Devanahalli in Nagamangala taluk, Mandya district.

As per the reports, Mubiena along with two others were travelling to Somavarpet from Bengaluru. Their car collided with a tractor, which was taking a U-turn, they were immediately rushed to the Adichunchanagiri Medical College hospital.

Later, the injured were shifted to a private hospital in Bengaluru for further treatment and Mebina died on the way, while the two are are battling for lives with serious injuries. A case has been filed at Bellur police station.
