Bengaluru, Aug 27: Congress leader C M Ibrahim on Saturday took oath as a member of Karnataka Legislative Council. Council Chairman D H Shankarmurthy administrated the oath.
Ibrahim won the recently held byelection to the council.

Bengaluru, May 1: Karnataka has reported 11 new cases of coronavirus, taking the State's count to 576, informed the Health Department on Friday.
Out of the total COVID-19 cases found in the State, 235 people have been discharged and 22 people have died.
"11 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Karnataka from April 30, 5 pm till noon today, taking the total number of cases to 576, which includes 22 deaths and 235 discharges," said the State government COVID-19 bulletin.

30 new coronavirus cases reported in Karnataka, count reaches 565

Bengaluru, Apr 30: As many as 30 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Karnataka from April 29, 5:00 pm to April 30, 5:00 pm, taking the total number of cases to 565, informed the State Health Department on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a total of 1,718 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 33,050 in the country.
A total of 630 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, as per the latest data provided by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

10 students injured as school bus on educational tour rams into tree

Kalaburgi, Jan 2: At least 10 students sustained injuries when a private bus carrying students of a school on an educational tour rammed into a tree today morning.
The mishap occurred when the students of Ayyappa School located in Chennaveera Nagar were going around the city in a bus during their tour.
The bus crashed into a tree near Venkatagiri Hotel on New Jewargi Road in the city.
A case has been registered at a traffic police station.
