IMA cheated 300 people in Belagavi

Belagavi, Jun 17: I Monitory Advisory (IMA) headed by Mohammed Mansoor Khan has not only cheated people of Bengaluru and Mysuru but those in Belagavi too. Khan is said to have fled out of the country.

More than 300 people in Belagavi have been invested crores in the firm and majority of them are Muslims. The investors submitted a memorandum to city police commissioner Lokesh Kumar here on Friday.

Before meeting Lokesh Kumar, the investors gathered at Anjuman Hall attached to the court. Most of the people are from the middle-income category and invested several lakhs in IMA on the promise of getting a higher rate of interest.

Shaukat Ali from Khanapur said he invested Rs 13 lakh in the company that has existed for the past 12 years. “I don’t know what I should do now. Many people like me have invested money for many reasons,” he said.

Meanwhile, Vijayappura police have made arrangements for those who have invested in IMA to file complaints at Gandhi Chowk police station. SP Prakash Nikkam has stated that any person from the district who has incurred losses owing to IMA can file a complaint at the said police station.

Mangaluru, Mar 25: A full-fledged control room was set up at the Deputy Commissioner's office in Mangaluru to collect all information about the suspected patients.  

The control room will function under the guidance of KIADB special land acquisition officer.  

All the details on those who arrived from foreign countries via Mangalore Airport, via airports in other districts, primary and secondary contacts of the people who arrived from foreign countries are being compiled at the control room.

Mangaluru, Jun 29: As many as 49 fresh covid-19 cases were reported in Dakshina Kannada district in past 24 hours taking the district’s tally to 568.

At the same time 38 persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery from covid 19.

Out of the 49 positive cases, 14 persons had returned from Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar. 17 persons had contracted the disease from patient number 9590. 3 persons are suffering from an influenza-like illness (ILI), and 4 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection.

The health officials are tracing the contacts of six others. All the 49 persons have been shifted to hospital for treatment. Most of them are said to be asymptomatic.

Bengaluru, May 5: Migrant workers blocked national highway near Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru on Monday, demanding to be sent back to their home states.

Revenue Minister R Ashok and CM's Political Secretary Vishwanath visited the spot and sent all migrant workers to BIEC center.

The protest caused more traffic and Peenya Police Inspector also suffered minor injuries while sending the migrants. Most of the migrants hail from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

As per the information from, some migrant workers tried to throw stones at the police while they tried to evacuate them from the road to the BIEC center.
