IMA Youth Wing organizes ‘Youth for a Better Tomorrow’

Kuwait City, Mar 3: Indian Muslim Association - Youth Wing, organized a spectacular fun filled cultural program under the theme “Youth for a Better Tomorrow” on Friday, 28th February 2014, at Jamiatul Islah Center Auditorium, Al-Rawda.

Wonderful dramas, and heartening nasheeds/taranas and classical daff were the attraction of the program. Some wonderful dramas were performed satirizing current social evils prevalent in Indian society. Many talented enthusiastic youngsters took part and displayed their skills and talents at the event. The aim of the program was to deliver a message in a lighter way, utilizing the modern technologies and dramatizing our concern for the Youth, so that we have a better tomorrow. The event was witnessed by large number of audience and Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed Shareef, National President – Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO), was the Chief Guest of the Event.

SIO President, Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed Shareef in his keynote address highlighted the social problems facing the Indian nation such as poverty, corruption and exploitation of women. He urged Muslim youth to be more responsible and play a key role in resolving these issues for a better tomorrow.

IMA Youth Wing President, Mr. Rizwan Ahmed, made a presentation on the activities carried out by Youth Wing.

The drama titled Sare Jahan Se Acha enacted on Indian political system was a real masterpiece. The audience was urged to support honest and God-fearing politicians who adhere to moral values and to be with a value based political party that can bring about a change in our society.

Another drama titled Mere Ladle Ki Shadi on marital problems faced by poor and middle class brides’ parents and the plight of young woman was wonderfully performed. The dramatic presentation of the evil of seeking dowry shamelessly by bridegroom’s relatives mesmerized the audience.

The audience was enthralled by the classical Daff performances performed and melodious nasheeds/taranas sung.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Master Syed Mustafa Iftekhar and Master Atif in the second session. Program concluded with the vote of thanks and Dua. Dinner packets were served at the end of the program.

Kuwait: Friday Forum Kuwait conducted its 12th inter-school Islamic Elocution Competition at Hotel Rajadhani Palace, Khaitan on 1st January 2020. 

The competition, which was held in the senior and junior categories had participation from 15 Indian Schools across Kuwait comprising of 43 students. In the senior category, Ayisha Wafiya of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Efrem Joseph of Indian Community School, Amman won the second prize. 

In the junior category, Hima Jameela of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Fadhel Kandapath of Fahaheel Al Wataniya Indian School won the second prize. Nawaal Yaseen Ebrahim of Indian Community School (SR), Salmiya and Rhruthunanda of Indian Learners Own Academy, Abbasiya won the consolation prizes in senior and junior categories respectively.

This year, the event was fully conducted by the ladies wing of Friday Forum. Dr. Thasneem Amir, Ibtisam Basheer, Toast Masters Ola Rasheed, Fatma Abduhedeid, Shazia Thabassum and Marium Rangat were the judges for the competition in senior and junior categories. The event started with the Qira’at by Saneera Riyas, followed by welcome speech by Dr. Sajna Mohammed. 

The prizes were distributed to winners by Shahina Mansoor, Femitha Faseeh, Dr.Thasneem Amir, Dr. Sajna Mohammed, Zeenath Yacoub, Safna Sayam and Saneera Riyas. The Souvenir for the program - “INSPERIA 2020”- was released during the event by the chief editor Farha Abdul Rahman. The program was compered by Thanveera Noushad and the program convenor Subeana Shabeer conveyed the vote of thanks.

Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee, Saudi Arabia organized Republic Day program at AlRyan Policlinic Restaurant Auditorium, Dammam on 25th January 2020.

Abdul Waris, Former Chairman of Indian International School Dammam Inaugurated the program.

Wasim Rabbani, president of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee Presided over the program.

Mansoor Shah KFUPM, Indian Social Forum Delhi Zone President, Dr. Fayaz Ahmed from King Fahad University Hospital, Amir Moulavi, Executive Member,  India Fraternity Forum (IFF) Dammam, Nasir Koduvalli, Indian Social Forum, Kerala State President, Dammam, Sharief, Social Forum Karnataka State President, DammamJahangir Moulavi, Tamilnadu State president delivered speech at the program. Mohammed Firoz, Indian Social Forum  President, Jubail read the preamble of constitution. 

 Nameer Kerala , Secretary, Social Forum Central Committee welcomed guests while Ashraf Karnataka, General Secretary, Central Committee delivered vote of thanks and Tahir Hyderabad, Secretary, Indian Social Forum, Central Committee coordinated the program.

Dubai, Aug 6: Non-resident Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dewakara Alva passed away on Thursday August 6. He was 63.

Alva, who hailed from Mangaluru, was the director of Federal Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai and was residing in Dubai for around four decades. He was reportedly suffering from health problems for last few months. 

He was a patron of Tulu and Kannada language and culture in United Arab Emirates. He was a member of various NRI organizations including UAE Tulu Koota and UAE Bunts

Alva is survived by wife Saritha, daughter Powshali, and son Manal.
