Indian Social Forum to celebrate Independence Day in Saudi cities

idayisfDammam: Indian Social Forum, Karnataka State Committee will be organizing programmes to celebrate Independence Day in the cities of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

The Forum has requested all the citizens of India to participate in large numbers and show the sovereignty of the country.

There will be a public program in Rose Restaurant Auditorium of Dammam on 15th of August 2015 at 8.45PM. As part of the program there will be patriotic songs from children and quiz for the audience are arranged.

Also there will be a public program in Apsara Restaurant Auditorium of Khobar on 15th of August 2015 at 8.45PM. Before the public program there will be a skit from the members of Indian Social Forum.

Earlier to the Independence Day celebrations on 14th of August morning at 5AM, there will be 30 yard Cricket Tournament in dammam with the teams having 6 players each. There will be prize distribution for the winners of the tournament on 15th of August in the public program of Dammam.
Indian Social Forum has requested all non-resident Indians to participate in all programs of the Independence Day celebrations.

Dubai: Karnataka Sports & Cultural Club (KSCC) distributed Eid Kit across the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah to the ) needy people on Eid al Fitr.

KSCC President Mr. Mohammed Ismail Said: “Eid is a Symbol of Gratitude and Unity. As the last few weeks have been hard for each one of us, we wanted to stand in solidarity to celebrate Eid, by helping labours and needy people. He also said that “We are together to be part of UAE. Serving these meals is our core social responsibility."

KSCC recently conducted humanitarian services during COVID-19 pandemic in 2 phases and conducted Blood Donation Drive. They have also planned to conduct next Blood Donation Drive on 25th May, 2020.

The KSCC main objective is to develop the expatriate community into a well-nourished section of society in the areas of social, sports and cultural activities.
