India's Independent Day is Black Day' for Hindu Mahasabha

August 15, 2016

Meerut, Aug 15: At a time when the entire country is making preparations to celebrate Independence Day, members of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha waved black flags to mark their 70th 'Black Day' and protest against the Constitution of India at the organisation's office on Sharda Road in Meerut on Sunday.

1hindumahasabhaThe leaders of the Hindu outfit claim to have been observing this day as 'Black Day' for the past 69 years to put forward their demand for declaring India as a "Hindu rashtra" and protest against the constitution that declares India a secular country.

"It was a black day for India when the British and some Indian leaders agreed to divide the country on the basis of religion, but Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru did not allow four crore Muslims to leave India thereby leaving the dream of a Hindu rashtra unfulfilled," claimed Pandit Ashok Kumar Sharma, national vice-president of Hindu Mahasabha.

Abhishek Aggarwal, a member of Hindu Mahasabha, said, "We do not believe in the Constitution of India and we have been protesting against it for the past 69 years. Secularism doesn't exist in India and that is why we mourn the Constitution."

"Earlier, arrests used to be made whenever black flags were waved outside our office, but after 1987, the court refused to let cops arrest our protesters," Sharma said.

This is a pure sedition.

This country will be never forcefully made any of these :
a) Hindu Rashtra, b) Muslim Rashtra c)Christian or any other Rashtra.

Watch / Monitor carefully, which population is growing.
On one day people may declare VOLUNTARILY as 1 particular Rashtra.

That will be their unanimously chosen favorite RASHTRA.
That will be the most peaceful Nation. That day will soon come, pray and wait for that.

Bengaluru, Feb 29: The BJP leaders in Karnataka rallied behind Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal amid a controversy over his remarks that centenarian freedom fighter HS Doreswamy was a "Pakistani agent."

The saffron party leaders have extended support to Yatnal, days after he called Doreswamy a "fake freedom fighter" who behaves like a "Pakistani agent".

Yatnal made the comments at a press conference on February 25 while reacting to a query on a public meeting organised by the Congress titled 'Save the Constitution'.

"There are many fake freedom fighters. There is one in Bengaluru. Now we have to say what Doreswamy is. Where is that old man? He behaves like a Pakistan agent," Patil had said.

"Doreswamy is an elderly person and senior to all. He had participated in various agitations. He should also see what to talk and who will be hurt with those statements. We have all seen what he said about Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar told reporters in Kodagu on Saturday reacting to Yatnal's outburst against Doreswamy.

Noting that the statements were made in bitter taste, Kumar said, "If you speak unpleasant (things), you will hear unpleasant."

Bellary City MLA G Somashekara Reddy too backed Yatnal saying that the his statement was appropriate. "There is nothing wrong in his statement. It is absolutely correct. I support him. It is not just okay to be a freedom fighter, but he should be a 'Deshbhakt' (patriot) too, who respects the unity and integrity of the nation."

On Friday, another BJP Minister KS Eshwarappa slammed Doreswamy alleging that he had visited Amulya Leona's residence and shared a good relationship with her family.

Leona had raised 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans at an anti-CAA event here on February 21, taking everybody present by shock and dismay.

"We respect Doreswamy but he dances to the tune of Congress and supports whatever their leaders say," Eshwarappa said.

Bengaluru, Jul 31: The Karnataka government on Wednesday put on hold a controversial proposal to drop certain chapters, including on Islam, Christianity, Tipu Sultan and his father Hyder Ali, from social science textbooks to reduce the 2020-21 syllabi for students in classes 1-10.

Citing the COVID-19 pandemic and the disruption caused to the academic calendar of the year, the government had earlier dropped the chapter on Tipu Sultan and Hyder Ali from the Class 7 social science textbook, saying chapters on Tipu Sultan have been retained in the Class 6 and 10 textbooks.

The move did not go down well with the opposition, which saw certain ulterior motives behind the decision.

Apparently under sharp criticism, the Department of Public Instruction issued a new notification on Wednesday "on the directions of the Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar".

There is a delay in opening the schools during the academic year 2020-21 due to COVID-19 pandemic, said the latest order.

In this context, the order said, chapters were dropped to fit in 120 days of the academic year for classes 1 to 10 and the same was published in the department's website.

"However, on the directions of the Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, the decision to drop certain chapters has been put on hold. A review will be done following which the deleted chapters will be uploaded in the website," the order read.

Earlier in the day, Mr Kumar had issued a statement, saying that the decision to truncate the syllabus has not been finalised yet. He also made it clear that his department would not remove chapters unnecessarily.

Former chief minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah had attacked the government on the issue.

"The government, which has failed to control the spread of coronavirus, is using it as an opportunity to push its clandestine agenda of saffronising the textbooks," Siddaramaiah tweeted.
