Shivamogga, Mar 25: A group of local Muslims turned into instant vigilantes after they saw a burqa-clad girl travelling with a Hindu girl and boy in Shivamogga, and subjected the trio to rigorous interrogation in public.

The incident took place a couple of days ago at Sawaipalya Cross in the city when Fathima and Sheela were riding pillion on Kumaraswamy’s motorbike (all three names changed). All three victims are students of Sahyadri College in the city.

In fact the trio were on their way to one of their friends house at Kurubarapalya to collect notes. After waylaying the trio, the group surrounded Fathima and asked whether she, being a Muslim, was not ashamed to be travelling with a Hindu boy.

The bearded vigilantes also misbehaved with Fathima and took away Rs 2,500 from her possession. They threatened Kumaraswamy and asked him not to talk to Muslim girls.

They transferred the private pictures in Fathima’s mobile phones to their phones and loaded them on to social networking sites.

Though Fathima requested them not to capture her photos, they video-graphed the trio. The video is now going viral on WhatsApp and Facebook.

A few hours after the incident, the vigilantes visited Fathima's house and threatened her and her family members. The Doddapete police have registered a case. Investigations are on.

goons are trying their best to trap Muslim girls under love jihad to marry them.  Police should investigate the issue and question the Hindu boy + girl for their intention to taking the Muslim girl with them.  However, Muslim boy only advised the Muslim girl to be careful as these 3 were riding the bike and there was a chance of accident and did not do anything bad with the trio.  But, a false case is registered against these Muslim boys who just advised the trio to be careful while riding bike.
