ISF repatriates body of young Indian expat who died in Saudi

Jubail: Indian Social Forum with the help of Indian Embassy repatriated the body of an Indian expatriate, who died of cardiac arrest in Saudi Arabia.

S K Apel (30) hailing from Murshidabad West Bengal, was working in a private company in Jubail. S K Kuddus, brother of the deceased working in Tabuk approached Indian Social Forum as he had no idea how to complete the formalities to send the body to back home.

With the timely assistance from SK Maynarul employee at Dammam Airport, ISF volunteers were able to collect the necessary information about the deceased. With the help of Indian Embassy, Indian social Forum volunteers from Jubail and Riyadh block has arranged required documents from Local government body, Hospital and the company. Also with the regular follow ups Fee required to repatriate the body was also collected from the deceased sponsor company.

Indian Social Forum volunteers approached West Bengal SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India) team to make ambulance service and other necessary arrangements to receive the body at the airport.

SDPI delegates convey their condolence and Along with Relatives and family members received the body of the deceased at Murshidabad airport. They appreciated the Indian Social Forum efforts to repatriate the body to hometown. Indian Social Forum volunteers Ashraf, Qaisar, Hidayat, Tajuddin and Sabit Bajpe were actively involved to complete the formality.

KSCC holds blood donation drive in Dubai

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) organized Blood Donation Camp at Latifa Hospital, Oud Mehta Dubai on April 23rd, 2020 in association with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and with support from Community Development Authority (CDA) Government of Dubai.

Blood Donation Drive started in the morning at 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Around 48 people participated in this drive and donated blood to support the Dubai Blood Bank.

A potential shortage of blood for transfusions has been occurred due to a significant reduction in voluntary blood donations during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The current pandemic, health services are now running with shortages of blood availability. To support the DHA Blood Bank KSCC taken initiative to ensure that blood donations continued and are safe for both the donor and the recipient.

After taking safety precaution and safe distance during the blood donation donors feeling happy and honored to participate and donate blood at this pandemic situation. Club Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi was also present during this event.

KSCC appreciated all the blood donors and be grateful to Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Community Development Authority (CDA), and Government of Dubai for their association for this event. They also thanked the volunteers and supporters.

Jals-e-Uchila get-together held in Dammam

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.
