Bengaluru, May 8: The poll-bound Karnataka witnessed another major raid by the Income Tax department last night. The I-T sleuths raided the resort Krishna Heritage owned by the Hosapete MLA Anand Singh. Hosapete is an assembly constituency in Badami taluk of Bagalakete district.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who is a candidate for Badami constituency had spent the night in the resort which is located on Hubballi road a few days ago.

As a consequence, the resort had turned into a hub of Congress party meetings.

It is learnt that former minister C M Ibrahim was at the resort when the raid took place. While IT officials scan the records, para-military forces and local police have been stationed for security.

The Congress has been accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi led union government of misusing the I-T department to target Congress in the poll-bound state.
