Bengaluru, Jan 8: Janata Dal (S) MLAs today urged party supremo H D Devegowda to assert a proper share for the party in the coalition government with Congress and a ‘hard bargaining’ is needed to give the party legislators their due and ensure growth of the party in Karnataka before the Lok Sabha elections this year.
According to party sources, majority of the JD(S) MLAs, who were present at the JDLP meeting held here today, urged Mr Gowda to go for hard bargaining with the Congress in seat sharing talks for Lok Sabha elections.
“Party leaders should not succumb the tactical pressure from the Congress” the party MLAs opined at the meeting, the party sources said.
