Jeddah: Indian Engineers Forum holds annual general meet

Jeddah: Indian Engineers Forum Jeddah Chapter organized its 13th annual general meet on 5th July 2019, at Hotel Ramada Continental.

Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia, Dr Ausaf Sayeed graced the event as the Chief Guest and Consul General of India Mr. Noor Rahman Sheikh was Guest of Honor, while Forum President Mohammed Sayeeduddin presided over the function.

Dr Ausaf Sayeed appreciated the activities of Indian Engineers Forum Jeddah and remembered how it was formed during his tenure as Consul General of India Jeddah.

He also appreciated the role of Eng. Sayeeduddin, Eng. Amir Khan, Eng. Shuja Sharief and other passionate members who worked hard to spread its chapters around Kingdom.He lauded Indian Engineers for their contribution in the development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.He highlighted, scarcity of water as an acute problem the World in general and India in particular.  He shared his experience of knowing Engineers in USA, who developed water condensing machine to extract water from humid air. He also briefed about wireless power transmission concept already advance state of development.

Engineers play important role for the overall development of life and are solution providers.

Guest of Honor Consul General Mohammed Noor Rahman Sheikh, applauded Indian Engineers Forum for its services to the Engineering community. He highlighted how the excellence of Indian Engineers in each areahasimpacted the society. In general our zeal to be the best in whatever we do.  Was demonstrated in the last year’s Hajj. The Mobile App  developed by CGI Jeddah is going to help 200,000 pilgrims expected to come this year.

Eng. Amir Khan, founder & chairman of Indian Engineers Forum said IEF provides a platform for networking, career advancement, community service, and technology exchange. He advised and encouraged Indian engineers to play a vital role in the development of Saudi Arabia, which would definitely help strengthen the relations between India and the Kingdom.

President Mohammed Sayeeduddin thanked the Chief Guest Dr Ausaf Sayeed for his support in 2016 in forming IEF Jeddah while he was CGI in Jeddah.

He announced that, having served as founding President for the last 13 years, he is now stepping down and the new president, unanimously elected, will be Eng. Khan Mustafa.

Nadeem Ahmed Ali, Executive member of the forum (who is)General Manager Smart Nation, delivered presentation on digital disruption which was appreciated by audience; he explained with examples how electronic gadgets are spoiling the youth.

India’s leading Real Estate advisoryfirm/ Institutional Channel Partner (ICP) 360Realtors LLP participated in the event and were the main sponsors.Colorful presentation covering major construction residential and commercial projects in India was presented by Head International Sales 360 Realtors, S K Vivek Kumar. Amit Hariyal Jeddah further introduced leading south based developers, Total environment, known for building marquee residential projects across the Indian cities of Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune.Abdul Rahman General Manager TA Infra projects saidthey are happy to be part of IEF and will participate in its future events.Presentation on Special Investment Plan was delivered by Mr. Khader Memon which was appreciated by audience.

The chief guest, Guest of Honor and sponsors were presented Mementoes as a token of appreciation by President and Executive Committee. It was followed by the release of the Annual Magazine of the Forum, Spectrum 2019.

All appreciated the creative work done by Eng. Muazzam Sayeed as Chief editor in compiling the magazine Spectrum. A lively session of Quiz conducted by Eng. Munnawar Amafh.

A number of dignitaries from Riyadh Dammam and Yanbu attended the event and first time Jeddah Community Leaders attended the event. Shuja Sharief who travelled from Dammam said it was great gathering of technocrats, Eng. Abdul Haseeb Hazari who travelled from Yanbu said it was great pleasure to meet the team of Jeddah. Prominent Social worker and Member of higher education board Danish Ghafoor said meeting my old friends was like the icing on the cake in this great program. Legendry social workers Siadat Ali Khan and Shameem Kausar said it was worth attending the event as most of the presentations were very useful. Senior member from Jeddah Engr Ahmed Omais Construction Manager for the Mega project said every year such programs will keep us updated with the latest information for the engineering industry.

The program was started with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Talha Khan. Eng. Ashraf Nawaz Qureshi Treasurer of the Forum officially welcomed the guests while program was professionally conducted by Eng. Syed Nasir Khursheed, General Secretary of the forum. Chief Guest Dr Ausaf Sayeed was introduced by Vice president of the forum Eng. Abu Bakar Sherkhan.

Program was concluded by a vote of thanks by Chief Coordinator, Mohammed Shoebuddin, he appreciated and thanked for the kind gestures of Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, members, distinguished guests and all the sponsors starting with 360 Realtors, TA Infra projects MASA, Saadi group of companies, El Swedy, MIMCO, AlAbeer and Smart Nations.Photo session was systematically conducted by Eng. Dubai: In response to UAE health authorities encourage blood donation campaign Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta - U.A.E, conducted blood donation camps on April 22 at Abu Dhabi Blood Bank Khaldiya and on 23/04/2020 at Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, Sharjah.

The Abu Dhabi camp was inaugurated by Head of Department of Abu Dhabi Blood Bank, On this occasion she gave brief inputs of the benefits and features of blood donation, urged the participants to spread greater awareness about the importance of blood donation and congratulated the AKO members for their selfless social service and wished all the best for their future endeavours.

Abdul Rasheed, President of AKO presided over the function and Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta Vice President Mr. Mohammad Nasir appreciated the effort for organizing this camp and gathering youths to be a part of this noble cause as life is precious on this earth. "Each drop of blood counts much, so kindly take it as personal compassion to help unknown who requires blood with no relatives to help him/her.

In Abu Dhabi 41 and in Sharjah 49 donors participated in this event and donated their blood. It was nice to see cheerful smiling donors doing a great community work.
Blood bank staff and AKO Organizing team enthusiastically arranged the campaign which was witnessed by many members and leaders of various community organization of Karnataka.

Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta President briefed the participates about the ongoing social work of AKO in this current COVID-19 pandemic grim situation AKO is working on following fields: AKO Members have stepped up to support needy community during the Covid-19 pandemic have gone out of their way to comfort those struggling to deal with the challenging situation.

While thousands of people continue to #StayHome, many are in quarantine, there are those on visit visa and stuck here, others have lost jobs or face salary cuts. AKO in coordination with UAE Embassy and other social organization have been able to ensure basic necessities are fulfilled with food provisions and medical assistance to needy.

Providing counselling to bachelors and families those are on quarantine and isolation.

The organizers thanked everybody especially, UAE Health Authority, Abu Dhabi Blood Bank Khaldiya and Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, Sharjah, Management and staff as well as donors for their time and support for the good cause.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Dammam: President of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Mr.Wasim Rabbani urged immediate intervention of Indian government to help Non Residential Indians who are in trouble due to corona pandemic in Saudi Arabia.

He said in a press rease that expatriate Indians are in concern  as number of corona infected people and  deaths are increasing in danger level.

Hea said, "the Saudi health minister's statement a few days ago indicates that the situation in Saudi needs to be taken more seriously with precautionary methods. There are concerns among expatriates because the number of people infected with the coronavirus and the number of deaths reported in various provinces are increasing at an alarming rate."

"Saudi Government and Health Ministry are taking excellent precautionary measures, however, in the coming days expect to see the number of cases to increase in Saudi Arabia. The Indian government needs to take diplomatic and immediate intervention to ensure the treatment of Indian expatriates considering the number of effected people increasing", He said.

He also urged that the Embassy and the Government of India should ensure qaurantiane faculty for Indian expatriates and arrange special low cost flights to bring back expatriates who would like to return home country.

" Government of India and Indian embassy need to intervene immediately to ensure that the quarantine system is in place for Indian expatriates as the facilities in the rooms where the residents are staying together are very limited. There should also be a mechanism to organize low-cost flight services for expatriates who are ready to go home. The government system should also be able to accommodate the expatriates in special quarantine areas in hometown as soon they arrive in India", he urged.
