Mangaluru, Jun 9: A bag containing jewellery worth about Rs 11 lakh was stolen from a car parked at the parking lot of Panambur beach on the outskirts of the city.
Lakshmi, a resident of Ramanagara and the owner of the car, stated in his complaint that he had gone to the beach on Sunday evening along with his relatives.
He said that he had parked the car at the parking lot. His family members had kept all the jewellery in a bag beneath the rear seat of the car before locking the doors.
However, while returning from the beach they found that miscreants had broken open the rear right side window pane of the car and taken away the bag. Panambur police have registered a case and are investigating.
