Jubail: JF-Expertise Champions Trophy 2016 off to a splendid start

Jubail: The opening ceremony of the Jam’iyyatul Falah-Expertise Champions Trophy, a prestigious sports event in Saudi Arabia’s Jubail city, attracted a large number of people on the night of April 21 at the Al-Falah Stadium, Jubail.

Master Mohammed Alman in his melodious voice recited verses of the glorious Quran. The recitation was preceded by a brief introduction by the president of JF-Al-Jubail unit, Mr. Fayaz Ahmed highlighting the objectives behind this event while appreciating the unequivocal support received from its main sponsor M/s Expertise Contracting Co.

A huge number of spectators is expected to be gathered on 29th April to enjoy the final match being played at 7.00 p.m in the same ground following which there will be a closing ceremony with attractive raffle prizes.

Representatives from Expertise, Mr. Mohammed Asfaq, Mr. Mohammed Anshif and Mr. Sharjeel, along with JFJ’s Ex-President Mr. Ghafoor Ahmed and Ex-Ameer Mr. Mohamed Farooq alongside the President of JFJ being introduced to the teams on the opening match.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.

The Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC), Bahrain, has charted aircrafts to repatriate stranded expatriates to India. 

Boby Parayil, General Secretary, OICC National Committee, Bahrain has thanked all those who supported in this cause.

“The aircrafts were not licensed and were in crisis until the last minute. Finally, Mohammed Mansoor, president of Bahrain chapter of Indian Overseas Congress approached IOC Middle East in charge Dr Arathi Krishna, who helped get permission to operate flight to Kozhikode,” he said in a release. 

All mandatory approvals from the Foreign Ministry of Affairs and other government officials were accomplished by Dr Arathi Krishna. OICC has expressed gratitude to her for her timely support, he said. 

OICC is also grateful to former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy for doing necessary arrangements to get all the approvals for flight landing in Kerala, he added.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.
