Jubail: Malnad Gulf Association hosts Ifthar get-together - 2019

Jubail: Malnad Gulf Association organized an Ifthar get together at Jubail Samcon Al Musk-7 Resort recently and over 350 NRIs participated.

The main speaker Assayyed Sharafuddin Tangal Muvattupuza said that by distributing the Ramadan kit MGA members not only get the good deeds from almighty, it’s important to support the society and poor to have a harmonious brotherhood life.

From the beginning Mr. Shameen Ahmed- EPCC renounced the presentation and the chief guests Mr. Farook Portfolio, President of Markazul Huda Kumbra National committee, Mr. Kamaruddin, President KCF, *Niyaz Ahmed Riyadh appreciated and applauded the past work conducted by Malnad Gulf Association.

Mr. Basheer Balupete was the Iftar event President of the evening and Mr. Shareef Kalasa provided beautiful Samcon Al Musk Resort venue at free cost for the evening. The event was inaugurated by Zainul Aabideen Zahri Ustad and shared spirituals taught with the audience and Quraan recitation was done by Master Umair Shareef. The achievements of the Malnad Gulf Association were described by Mr. Rashid Ahmed through poetry.

For the calendar year 2019 Malnad Gulf Association has distributed 1061 Ramadan kits worth approximately 15 lakh rupees in 4 different districts along with Dakshina Kannada. President of the MGA central committee Mr. Basheer Balupete briefly convinced about MGA and its upcoming prospects.

Finally, Mr. Abdul Sathar owner of Cloud-7 company given vote of thanks to all the chief guests and participated members for the tremendous effort in successfully carrying out this activity and gave audience a good ifthar atmosphere.

Brief Introduction of Malenadu (Eastern Ghats): Malenadu is a region in the state of Karnataka in India which includes places such as Chickmagalore, Shivamogga, Hasana & Madikeri with marvelous green hill stations Charmadi & Aagumbe . MGA was started with the vision of social empowerment in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The vision and mission of the organization are as follows:

*Helping the Indian immigrant job seekers in the gulf states. *Extending educational helping hand to economically backward & orphans *Extending medical help for economically backward people/community. *Extending financial help for the marriage of less fortunate, Orphans & Widows.

The was association was started on 28/03/2014 with 5 members in Dammam now has extended to Jubail, Khobar, Riyadh, Al Hasa, Jeddah and Madinah with over 300 active members working. The association has engaged in many nonprofit community works in the past 5 years, currently focusing on religious as well as worldly education of backward people of the region.

Doha: Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF) once again set an example that no caste, creed, language and religion comes as hurdle for their humanitarian services and helped to perform last rites of Ramesh who committed suicide in Doha-Qatar.

45-year-old Ramesh son of K. Nagan hailing from Panikulam, Thrissur district in Kerala, who was working as a tailor committed suicide in his house at Ruwias in Qatar on 30th May 2020.

On hearing this news, some of his friends in Kearla informed Mr. Shihab who is also from Thrissur and a member of QISF and the same was brought to the notice of QISF humanitarian team head Mr. Abdul Latheef Madikeri and Basheer Ahmed of Tamil Nadu.

Immediately, the QISF team intervened and contacted the family members of the deceased in India and discussed the matter and consequences of sending the body back home to India in this pandemic COVID 19 situation.

Considering the prevailing situation, the family members gave the consent to bury the body in Qatar itself.

QISF team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation.

Finally, the body of the deceased was buried in Qatar on 7th June 2020 and the copies of all the relevant documents have been handed over to the family members.

The family members of the deceased thanked and applauded the leaders and all the members of QISF for their effective and on time humanitarian service rendered even in this pandemic crisis and having no bias.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.
