KaDaM celebrates eighth anniversary in style at Ajman Beach Hotel

Ajman: Friday the 30th November was indeed a special day for KaDaM as they celebrated their 8th anniversary at Ajman beach hotel from 11.30 am to 6 pm.

The day started with Mr Nithyananda Beskoor welcoming the esteemed guests of the day Mrs & Mr Annayya Sherigar  Managing Trustee Shree Ekanatheshwari Temple Barkur, Mrs & Mr Yadav ,Mrs & Mr. Shodhan Prasad, Mr Ravi Tallur, Mr Dinesh Devadiga, Mr Sadandas and all the guests & members of KaDaM.

To make the day a blessed one, Lighting of the lamp was done by Shri Annayya Sherigar,Shodhan Prasad, Dinesh Devadiga, Dr.Yadav, & KaDaM ladies, followed by a Prayer by ace KaDaM singer Ramachandra Bedradka.

Nithyananda Beskoor called upon the trio anchors Mr.Vasudev, Ravi &  Manju onto stage to continue the cultural program. The trio in their debut attempt with a unique kundapurian dialect and in Village attire entertained the audience throughout the cultural program.

The most awaited KaDaM’s Saadaka Prashashti for the year 2018 was conferred on Mr Annayya Sherigar Managing Trustee, Shree Ekanatheshwari temple Barkur. All the dignitaries on the dias were called upon by Mr.Nagaraj. The following people were called on stage by Mr.Narayan Devadiga to proceed with the Prestigious Saadaka Prashasti Ceremony … Bouquet by Yuvraj, Shawl was draped by Dr.Yadav, Peta by Suresh Kanchikan, Fruit Basket by Jagadeesh Devadiga Sirsi, Momento by Sudhakar Devadiga, Prashasthi was given by Dinesh Devadiga and garland by Shodhan Prasad.

Among the Guests & members on dias Mr.Annayya sherigar, Dinesh Kumar,Sadandas, Shodhan Prasad , Suresh Kanchikan, Dinesh Devadiga, Nithyananda Beskoor ,& Ravi Tallur spoke on the occasion. All of them unanimously spoke with pride about the various achievements of KaDaM within a short period of time in the field of Education, medical help to the needy,Blood Donation and also spearheading a unique mission of adopting kids ( Dattu )and providing them Education. And also promised with the support of all the team members ..KaDaM is focused to achieve their goals and reach greater heights.  Our well wishers Mr.MD. Narayan & Mr. Shekhar Shetty were also present on the dias.

Introduction (Prasthaavika) speech was given by Prathima Narayan. As a mark of respect & honor many prominent Guests were honored by KaDaM team by presenting bouquet on stage. KaDaM website was officially launched by Dinesh Devadiga in the presence of Dignitaries.

As part of Cultural program many songs, dances and skits were performed and a drawing competition for kids was also arranged by Mr.Shridhar Brahmavar.

Dance performances by Kids was a wonder to watch… and their cute antics stole the show.

Classical Dance was performed by Symphony students Bhavya, Swetha, Clesta, Mallika, Raagini, Anumitha, Samyak Suresh, Samrath Suresh, Pranav & Sreenand.

All the wonderful performances by kids enthralled the Audience and were witnessed by their proud parents.

A dazzling dance performance by KaDaM Ladies Vishala Dinesh, Kiran Beskoor, Harinakshi Santhosh, Shashirekha Srikanth, Reshma Pramod, Hema Suresh & Navya Konchady mesmerized the audience.

Singers like Pramod, Ramachandra, Ramya, Sai mallika, Prahlad , Patrick rendered beautiful songs throughout the day. Live band members were Patrick, Erol D’souza, Deepak, Sandeep acharya & Vincent who added colour to the show.

A humorous Skit by Sandeep Devadiga, Monappa Poojary, Prashanth Nair, Jesh Bayar, Ramesh Suvarna Pratima Narayan & KaDaM ladies had the audience in splits.

The whole cultural program was ably supported by Event Co-ordinator Mr.Yuvraj Devadiga, Jagadeesh Devadiga as DJ, Lancy as the sound coordinator. Stage Decoration was done by Ravi N.M , Santosh Kolnad & Elegant Team.

Raffle draw at the end of the day was conducted by Nithyananda Beskoor. Vote of Thanks was given by Sathosh Kolnad.

Dubai, Aug 7: ‘Nama Tuluve’ Purushotham Salian, a staunch stalwart who always supported humanity and a strong pillar for Tuluvas in Dubai, passed away August, 4 at Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain. He was suffering from cancer and was admitted to Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain some time ago. He was on the last stage of illness which was not detected earlier.

His funeral last rites were conducted on Thursday August 7 at Jebel Ali cemetery in Hindu rites with a few of his family members present. Due to Covid pandemic, neither his body was able to be flown back to hometown nor could his two children come down to attend the funeral. However, it was said that his wish was to be cremated here in Dubai which unknowingly sometime back he whispered to one of his friends.

Purushotham had few years ago, survived a heart attack and fought back his life, though it had a minor paralytic effect on him. Even though, till recently he used to do his day-to-day work normally. He was a hard working personality and owned a readymade garment shop in Ajman and Dubai mostly taking care of clients with requirement of uniforms and coveralls. His dedication towards work was always appreciated by his clients who used to get their things delivered on time always.

He was never a publicity person and was helping the poor and needy in whatever ways he could silently. He strongly supported the community and was associated with Nama Tuluveru and Billawa community with commitment. He used to voluntarily come forward for the ground work of various functions of the community and used to be there until it was done perfectly.

Kuwait: State of Karnataka is enriched with Daasa culture, which had contributed immensely to its literature, culture, art & philosophy. Daasa tradition in Karnataka was part of the Bhakti movement which flourished from around 15th century and it extended considerable spiritual influence over the masses. Kuwait Kannada Koota, a socio-cultural association for the people of Karnataka in Kuwait, organized its annual Daasotsava on 14th February 2020 in remembrance of these saints, thereby displaying the rich cultural heritage of the state. 

The program started with a warm welcome address by Mrs. Spoorthy Kamath, convener of cultural committee. Divine invocation prayer by Mrs. Vasantha Ashok and Mrs. Sandhya Arun set the trend for the event. This was followed by lighting of the traditional lamp by the 2020 executive committee, comprising of President Mr. Rajesh Vittal, Vice President Mr. Sandeep Chabba, General Secretary Mr. Praveen Kumar Shetty and Treasurer Mr. Pradeep Rao. President, while welcoming the gathering, spoke about the importance of Daasas in Kannada literature & history and briefed about the series of upcoming programs. Cultural programs started with fancy dress competition by Koota children comprising of all age group starting from infants to elder kids. This program stole the show as the efforts & time invested by children and their parents were clearly visible. 

2019 executive committee was felicitated by the current committee for wonderfully managing Koota affairs & programs. This was followed by the release of Koota magazine “Marala Mallige", comprising of informative articles, drawings, poems etc., entirely contributed by the association members. Event’s main attraction “Vrindavana Leelavarana", a colorful dance drama spectacularly portrayed by 54 Koota children, was very well appreciated & received by the attendees. Association children who successfully completed 10th and 12th were felicitated as a token of encouragement. Executive committee gave away prizes to Kids who excelled in the stage competitions held earlier. Audience was treated to a divine and melodious Bhajan program conducted astutely by the ladies & men. Koota women performed Bhajan Kolata, along with ladies bhajan, in a well-coordinated manner. Vote of thanks was proposed by the secretary of Koota, thanking those who contributed for the success of the event. Another attraction was a quiz competition “Rasa Prashne", conducted efficiently between the programs, by Mr. Mahesh Shiramgond. 

The whole event was planned and executed astutely by the cultural committee under the leadership of Convener, Mrs. Spoorthy Kamath. Public Relations Committee, led by Mrs. Suparna Dambal, welcomed the members in a vibrant & colorful way, showcasing a beautifully erected divine mantap. The event was sponsored by Unimoni, LIC HFL, VSPL, Geetherb, Kotak Life Insurance, Joy Alukkas, Lulu Hypermarket & Total Environment. The program ended with a sumptuous satvik lunch, sponsored by the senior Koota member, Mr. Ramachandran Seetharaman.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.
