KaDaM celerbats 8th anniversary in Ajman

Ajman: Kundapura Devadiga Mitra, popularly known as KaDaM celebrated their 8th anniversary in a grand manner on October 27th 2017, at Ajman Beach Hotel, Ajman, UAE with a whole day cultural event witnessed by packed Devadiga families, guests from India and friends. With the able leadership of dynamic businessman Dinesh Devadiga Chitradi Nagoor, KaDaM are not only conducting anniversary but also serving the needy community brethren’s with contribution towards education, medical and also arranging blood donation drive in the UAE.

A meaningful ceremony that was organized began at 11am by lighting of the lamp by KaDaM Ladies, Gowri Devadiga, Sharada Devadiga, Leelavathi Devadiga, Ambika Devadiga, H Mohan Das, Ravi Devadiga, Raju Devadiga, Dinesh Devadiga, Ravi Devadiga Tallur and Sheena Devadiga. Ramachandra Devadiga Kasaragod recited the prayer.

NithyanandaBeskoor welcomed the audience, sponsors and media representatives and gave a gist of an exciting day ahead. Followed was welcome dance by Shashirekha and Kumari Shreya.

Asha Devadiga, Sridhar Bramavar and Santhosh Sherigar jointly hosted the programme throughout in their own style.

A variety of cultural programs were presented beautifully which included variety of dances. Audience enjoyed some beautiful soulful melodies sung by Pramod Kumar, SaiMallika, Dinesh DoddanaGudde, UdayaNanjappa, Shiva Kumar, KumariAdhira, Kumari Ishwarya, Master Manish, Suresh Devadiga, Shodan Prasad, Gayathri, Master YashSujith Shetty & Ramachandra Devadiga. Dancing numbers by Neha, Shreesha, Dhanya Dinesh Devadiga, Asha Devadiga Navya Devadiga Konchady, Shruthi Devadiga, Priya Devadiga, Vishalakshi Devadiga, Kiran Beskoor, Smitha Devadiga, Harinakshi Sherigar, Shashirekha Devadiga, Reshma Devadiga, Kumari Shreya, Niveditha, Niranjana, Kumari Elsa, Nandana, Master Yash, Vasu Devadiga, Santhosh Sherigar, Ravi Devadiga, Jagadish Devadiga, Manohar Devadiga, Manjunath Devadiga and Kids from symphony dancing institution.  Audience applauded witnessing sporting Ladies Group Dance a catchy number and which was the highlight of the day.

Vasu Devadigabriefed on KaDaM’spast years successful events from the time of inception viz., year 2010 till the current anniversary.  He also briefed on the mission-vision and main objectives of KaDaM.

KaDaM’s service to the community

As of date KaDaM collected a whopping amount of rupees around Rs 25 lakh as KaDaM Education Fund. Rs 3 lakh is being distributed as scholarship every year and another Rs 5.35 lakh was given as medical aid to hospitalized patients. The contribution given by each member every month is being accumulated to meet any emergency unexpected medical expenses of needy community families.Whenever there is an urgent need for aid, members voluntarily take up initiativesand contribute fund for the needy.

Devadiga Sadaka Prashasti - 2017 conferred on Gowri Devadiga

Like every year this year too KaDaM organized to identify exceptional Community Member who contributed to the society. This year the Award 'Devadiga Sadaka Prashasti' was conferred on Smt. Gowri Devadiga as a recognition to her contributions in the field of Social work.

Devadiga Sadaka Prashasti Award is specially conferred to individuals as a token of appreciation for their contribution towards the society and community affairs. Awardee Smt. Gowri Devadiga is a woman who created an identification for herself in society with a belief and objective in social service. An initiative to honour such woman achievers of the community is a proud feeling for KaDaM.  Guest Ravi Devadiga President of Devadiga Sangha Mumbai honoured her with Shawl, Vishalakshi Dinesh Devadiga presented her garland, KiranBeskoor handed over flower bouquet while Sudhakar Devadiga handed over the fruit basket all in a traditional way. Simultaneously a Video presentation was shown to highlight the achievements and awards received by Gowri.  Prashasti Patra was presented by Dinesh Devadiga. Sheena Devadiga presented a memento. In return to the Sadaka Prasasti, the overwhelmed recipient Gowri Devadiga thanked the organizers of the event and dignitaries on the dais.

KaDaM also felicitated Community Leaders H Mohan Das, Ravi Devadiga President of Devadiga Sangha Mumbai andSmt. Ambika Raju Devadiga. All the recipients thanked KaDaM for honoring them and wished KaDaM all the success.

Ganesh Rai applauded KaDaM for its self-less service to the society and their dedication towards mankind.  He mentioned on KaDam’s various social responsibility initiatives such as Blood donation camp, scholarship in back home, picnic, and Indian traditional festival celebration which are commendable.

KaDaM conducted drawing competition for children which was ably judged by Mr. Ravi Tallur, Suresh Devadiga DHL and Sai Mallika.

Cultural and Stage program were coordinated and ably conducted by Yuvaraj Devadiga, Manoj Devadiga, Ravi Nagoor, Santhosh Kolnad and Elegant Team.

All the Sponsors, Media Representatives & Participants were honoured and presented with mementos by Dinesh Devadiga and KaDaM Members.

Throughout the programme there were many spot games conducted and audience actively participated and received prizes.  Towards the end Grand Raffle draw was conducted and prizes handed over to the winners.

The event got concluded with vote of thanks rendered by Sheena Devadiga who thanked all the Sponsors, Participants, Media, Guest of various organizations, well-wishers and members for the wholehearted support and who made  the event a grand success. He also thanked Special Guests from India who flew to just to attend the event who were Smt. Sharada Devadiga Nagoor, Smt. Leelavathi Devadiga Nagoor, Revathi Sherigar Mala, Shri Ravi Tallur & Mr Sheena Devadiga.
