Bengaluru, Mar 6: The Karnataka Government today signed Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) with leading Corporates in the State for the rejuvenation of six lakes in the State Capital.
Announcing this at Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Karnataka Annual Meet 2019 held here on Wednesday, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy called on the industry to come forward and adopt more lakes and water-bodies. Stating that his Government is committed to the rejuvenation of lakes in the State, he assured full support to any corporate that comes forward to assist the government in this regard.
The six lakes adopted by industry are Kenchenhalli Lake (Meritor CVC India Ltd.), Doddathogur Lake (ELCIA), Shikaripalya Lake (Wipro), Yarandahalli Lake (Biocon), Kammasandra Lake (Biocon), and Maragondanahalli Lake (Timken India Ltd.).
