Bengaluru, Jun 26: The Karnataka government appointed a Cabinet sub-commttee to look into the controversial grant of over 3667 acres of land to the steel giant Jindal Steel Works (JSW).
Home Minister M B Patil will head the Committee, which also included Minister for Co-operation Bandeppa Kashampur, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Krishna Byregowda and Minister for Social Welfare Priyank Kharge.
The state government faced wrath both from the members of the Opposition as well as from coalition partner Congress leaders for granting over 3667 acres of land to JSW.
