New Delhi, Feb 10: The Karnataka High Court will get five new additional judges.
The President appointed Dixit Krishna Shripad, Shankar Ganapathi Pandit, Ramakrishna Devdas, Bhotanhosur Mallikarjuna Shyam Prasad and Siddappa Sunil Dutt Yadav as additional judges. They will serve for two years.
On Thursday, advocates called off their four-day hunger strike after receiving credible information that the appointment process is in the final stage.
Mangaluru, Jan 10: A person has been booked for forwarding provocative message on WhatsApp against the Dakshina Kannada Khazi Twaqa Ahmed Musliyar.
According to police, the accused Hassan forwarded provocative messages against the Khazi in a WhatsApp group on December 31, following which he was booked under several sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Mangalore North Police are looking into the matter.
Bengaluru, June 21: Three youngsters lost their lives when an alleged wheeling stunt turned near Jakkur flyover in the city today morning.
The deceased have been identified as Mohammed Hadi, Ahmed Khan and Syed Riaz, all residents of Nagavara Govindapura.
The tragedy took place at around 6:30 a.m. While two among them died on the spot, the third one breathed his last at a hospital, soruces said.
Yelahanka traffic police have registered a case in this regard.
Bengaluru, May 5: Karnataka Education Minister, S Suresh Kumar on Monday announced that the SSLC exams will be held as soon as possible, the officials have been asked to be prepared.
The guidelines have been given by the Primary Education Minister to all Deputy Directors of Education departments.
"Sanitisers, masks, screening, and all guidelines will be followed at exam halls," said Kumar in a statement.
Meanwhile, Karnataka has reported 651 COVID-19 positive cases so far, said State Health Department said on Monday.
