Bengaluru, Jan 18: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said that his government is keen to introduce Millets in Midday meal in schools , Government Hostels and subsidesidesed in Indira Canteens for all people in the State.
Speaking after inaugurating a three day Oranics and Millets International Trade Fair here on Friday he said that “over the last three years, the State Government has been focusing on organics and millets. Thist is the commitment of my Government to stand by the farmers and do everything possible for their welfare. I am sure that through exchange of knowledge and direct interaction between farmers and buyers and other stakeholders.”
Mr Kumaraswamy also launched the ‘Farmer Identity Card’, which would enable farmers to avail the benefits of several schemes and initiatives that the State Government has implemented.
