Bengaluru, Jan 31: Charging that all the developmental works in Karnataka has come to standstill after JDS-Congress Coalition Government came to power, former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Jagadish Shettar predicted that this coalition government will collapse on its own weight.
Speaking to newsmen here on Thursday, he said that “the Karnataka Government, which has already raised about Rs 1500 crore through issuing public bonds, have planned to mobilize a huge debt of over Rs 80,000 crore to ward off payment crisis”.
Stating that already Karnataka is reeling under heavy debt of over Rs 3.5 lakh crore, he said that the additional debt will put the State’s financial health under severe threat, Mr Shettar added.
