Kasaragod, Apr 2: Parts of the district received moderate to heavy summer showers late on Sunday, drastically bringing down the heat besides allaying apprehensions of farmers anticipating drought situation during peak summer months.
The rain, the third of its kind this summer, accompanied by lightning began around 8.40 p.m.
