Kuwait city, Mar 27: “Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has become a new hope for the marginalized and deprived communities while the so called Muslim political leaders have now become just puppets of national parties” said Mr. Mohammed Shaqif, member of SDPI National Working Committee. Mr. Shaqif was speaking on the topic “Current India and the Future of Citizens” in the reception ceremony organized by Kuwait India Fraternity Forum.

He added that the Muslims are fractioned due to silly differences of opinion. The so called secular parties always use the minorities especially Muslims just as vote bank by propagating the ascension of fascist outfits in the elections. All political parties are ignoring the Muslims and other backward communities and no development could be seen in the areas where such communities are populated despite the long 67 years are passed after independence. Thousands of innocent Muslims, whose forefathers had scarified their lives for the independence, are in the jails due to inhumane black laws like POTA, UAPA etc.

He also reminded that we Muslims, being 20% of the Indian population, still not attained political power to bargain for our rights whereas the minorities like Yadav and Chammar being less than 3 to 4 % of population could become the political force and bargain for their rights and even could become ruling parties. The Muslims, as a community should unite under one leadership and stand for our needs and demands instead of begging.

The political power is so crucial in India to improve the life of poor and marginalized citizens in India and if we use it in the right angle without corruption, the future is safe in our hands.

Mr. Shaqif stressed that a total change require in Indian politics and a new, enthusiastic and corruption free politics are needed to uplift the values of free and secular India. Necessity of clean politics is the need of the hour and this new wave of politics has already been started by SDPI which connects each and every Indian to the value of secularism. SDPI was the 4th largest party in Karnataka election and has shown strength in many states which prove the acceptance of the party among the people. He also added SDPI is ready for the possible alliance with the likeminded parties in India to strengthen the democracy and secularism.

Hundreds of people attended the program held on Friday, 14th March, 2014 at Jamiyathul Islah Auditorium, Rawda. Mr. Saifuddin, President of KIFF, presided over the function. Mr. Abdul Hameed Mulky, President of KKMA DK Wing, in his talk stressed the need of unity among different sects of Indian Muslims. Mr. Mohammed Shameer anchored the program, Mr. Nawab welcomed the gathering and Mr. Aseef Giliyar delivered vote of thanks.
