Bengaluru, Feb 12: Defending his decision to order for a Special Investigation Team(SIT) probe into the alleged audio-tape scam, in which the BJP leaders had referred to the Speaker Ramesh Kumar, claiming that he was bought over, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said that “the probe by SIT would send a strong message to the Nation”.
Intervening during a day-long debate on the audio-tape scam, wherein the Opposition BJP members had urged the Speaker against handing over the probe to a SIT, the Chief Minister refuted the charges that “Government will resort to witch-hunt the Opposition leader using the SIT”.
