Let Parrikar write to Siddaramaiah, we'll convince Goa Congmen: KPCC chief

"Let Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar write a letter to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over the sharing of Mahadayi water for drinking water purpose.
Then, we will convince the Congress leaders in Goa in this regard," KPCC president G Parameshwara told reporters here on Thursday.
Accusing the BJP of double standards on the drinking water issue, Parameshwara said the BJP government in Goa on one occasion, spoke of sharing the river water and on the other occasion, refused to share the water.
The KPCC president said there was nothing wrong in Siddaramaiah aspring to be chief minister again.
"However, the final decision will be taken by the CLP (Congress legislature party)."
BJP is conspiring to win the elections (state) by rigging the EVMs, the KPCC president said.
"A memorandum will be submitted to the Election Commission to check the misuse of EVMs in the coming elections," he added.

Bengaluru, Apr 13: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President and former Minister D K Shivakumar has demanded resignation of Minister In-Charge of COVID-19 for his alleged irresponsible comment, despite holding a responsible post.

Mr Shivakumar's comments came after Dr Sudhakar on Sunday shared a picture of him and his children in a swimming pool, on Twitter with a caption, ''After a long time joined my children for swimming hope maintaining social distance here as well…hahaha.''

However, Dr Sudhakar deleted the tweet from his account, soon after he was criticised for sharing such a picture, when the country is facing a health crisis.

Udupi, Feb 29: Senior Congress leader and Udupi’s crackers trader K Krishnaraja Saralaya allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well outside his house at Paniyadi on Saturday.

He was 87, Krishnaraja was leading a solitary life. It is suspected that he ended his life ''due to mental agony''.

He is survived by two daughters. One is settled in Australia another is in Bengaluru. Saralaya had also served as President of Udupi Town Co-operative Society. The police visited the spot .
