Look-out notice against Yuva Brigade leader Naresh Shenoy

nareshMangaluru, Apr 6: The Mangaluru Police have issued a look-out notice against Naresh Shenoy, the founder of the city unit of NaMo Brigade (now known as Yuva Brigade), a right wing group, in connection with the murder of 51-year-old RTI activist Vinayak Baliga.

The activist was hacked to death allegedly by three persons near his house at Kodialbail here on March 21. The police have so far arrested two persons allegedly involved in the murder.

Police Commissioner M. Chandra Sekhar said that the look-out notice was a step to prevent him from leaving the country.

Mr. Chandra Sekhar said that they need to question him in connection with the murder. Mr. Chandra Sekhar said that they are yet to find Shiva (20) of Panjimogaru and Srikant (40) of Kavoor, who are suspected to be involved in the crime.

Even if he caught by police, nothing will be going to happen!! he will get bail and will be released by court and will get hero welcome plus MLA or MP seat in next election!! this s what happening in our country in recent years.

Mangaluru, Jun 21: A total of 51 private hospitals and medical colleges empanelled under the Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust (SAST) have been allowed to treat Covid-19 patients in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district. Among them 30 are in Dakshina Kannada and 21 are in Udupi. Here is the full list:

Mangaluru, July 13: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary on Monday said that all COVID-19 patients in the district will be treated for free in the hospitals of all medical colleges in the district.

Speaking to newsmen after visiting the COVID-19 treatment facility at KMC Hospital here, Poojary stated that all COVID-19 patients including BPL families, APL families, migrant workers and those without a ration card, will be treated free of charge in the district’s medical colleges. Patients can show their Aadhaar card at the hospital and get free treatment.

Provision of free treatment for COVID-19 patients at Wenlock hospital will be continued. In Dakshina Kannada district, the number of people recovering from the virus and being discharged hospitals is high. There is no need for the people of the district to panic. The government is committed to the health of the people, Poojary said.

Mangaluru, Jul 1: The Bajpe police station under the limits of Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate has been sealed down after an arrested accused was tested positive for the Coronavirus.

Police said on Wednesday that the Bajpe police arrested two persons in connection with plotting dacoity in Oddidakala in Bajpe. After the arrest, their throat swab was sent for a test. On Wednesday, one of the accused tested positive for the Coronavirus.

In this connection, the Bajpe police station has been sealed down and the police personnel who were present during the arrest are placed under home quarantine.
