Mangaluru: Cops seize 5 kg ganja, nab youths at Thokkottu

Mangaluru, May 26: The sleuths of the City Crime Branch of Mangaluru city police have seized five kilogram of ganja, mobile phones, a car and a bike with total value of Rs 10 lakh during a raid.

Police said acting on a tip-off, they intercepted a car and a bike selling ganja to the public near Olapete in Thokkottu.

They arrested Sharif V H, 36, a resident of Adyar; Harshith, 36, and Deekshith, 37, both residents of Niddel, Kulshekar; Imran, 30, a resident of Moodushedde; and Prithviraj, 25, a resident of Shaktinagar.

Police also have asked the public to alert them about anyone selling ganja and other drugs in their locality.

Al Hamdulillah....im just imagining if its only Muslims involved then there will be different stories. they might get connections with PFI, SDPI,, Lashkar etc. they survived doing these dirty things along with other religion mate..
Anyway punish all of them like Saudi law especially for drug suppliers hanging in public by that no one else will do the same thing. if they release on bail they will continue the same.

Dharward, Jul 25: In a shocking incident, a man reportedly killed his wife and daughter by feeding them poison and ended his life by hanging in his house. The incident took place in Dharwad on Saturday. 

The deceased have been identified as Mounesh Pattar (36), his wife Arpita (28) and their four-year-old daughter Sukruta. 

Mounesh was working in a private company in Dharwad and was depressed from the last one week fearing job loss. 

It was alleged that he might lose his job as the management decided to remove more than 40 employees due to covid -19 lockdown.

On Friday late night, he reportedly gave poison to his wife and daughter and later committed suicide by hanging self. The incident came to light on Saturday morning.

A case is registered at Sub Urban police station and further investigation is on.

Madikeri, Apr 27: Four labourers, who were travelling to Kerala via Makutta on foot, were stopped by Karnataka Forest Department officials and handed over to police.

Police said on Monday that the labourers identified as Anish, Radhakrishna, Shrinil and Prabhakar, who were working in the Coffee plantations in Chembellur and Ontiyangadi. As the roads to Kerala were sealed following lockdown, they were held up in the district.

The forest guards, who spotted them walking through the forest area, brought them back to the town as per the directions of the higher officials last evening. DCF Shivashankar, ACF Konerira Roshni and Ranger Arun Kumar were present.

Puttur, Jan 4: As many as 27 passengers travelling in a private bus escaped with minor injuries after it toppled and fell into a roadside trench at Amai near Perne on Mangaluru-Bengaluru national highway last night, police said on Saturday.

Police said that the driver of the Bengaluru-bond bus lost control over the vehicle while traversing through the narrow bridge at Amai.

The bus was damaged in the mishap.

this is one of the important case that now seen to be increasing these days.  and one of the most problem that is faced and had has to be found a solution is overspeeding by bus driving which have resulted in enomours numbers of accidents with negligence of passengers lifes inside the bus.  passengers safety and lifes are not given value anymore. and another important factor is overspeeding in humps  which have resulted in backbone injuries in high number of passengers
