Mangaluru, Apr 14: A youth who was stabbed with a sharp weapon by his friend-turned-foe last week, breathed his last at a hospital without responding to any treatment recently.
The victim has been identified as Nithin Jogi, 34, a daily wage worker from Ullal. He was stabbed on April 7 allegedly by one Rajneesh.
According to police, the victim and the accused were friends, but recently turned foes due to some differences among them.
On last Sunday, there was an altercation between them, during which Rajneesh stabbed Jogi with a gaff used in cockfights. A severely injured Jogi was admitted to a hospital and was battling for life. He was declared dead on Friday.
The victim is survived by his parents and a sister. Rajneesh has been arrested and a case registered at the Ullal police station.
