The missing case of Fiona, 16, took a turn after 18 days on Saturday when her 18-year-old brother Samson Cutinho confessed to her murder. It is learnt that Samson got extremely addicted to mobile games and videos after failing engineering exams.

The victim, a resident of Kambalapadavu at Pajir village on the outskirts of the city was studying in first PU of St Agnes College in Manglauru. On October 9, her parents had filed a missing complaint in jurisdictional Konaje police station.

In their complaint, the parents had claimed that Fiona hadn’t returned home after going to college on October 8. After 15 days, the local residents had submitted an appeal to the city police commissioner urging him intensify probe into the missing case.

During investigation, the cops found out that the last network location of missing girl’s mobile was showing Mudipu, in which area her house falls. Based on this clue the cops interrogated the family members intensely.

Last night, the police took the accused to the spot where he had dumped the body and unearthed the skeleton. It is said that Samson was jealous of his younger sister. According to police, he bludgeoned her head with a hammer at home after she returned from the college when their parents were away.
