Mangaluru: Uma Prashanth takes charge as DCP

Mangaluru, Oct 4: IPS officer Uma Prashanth on Tuesday took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic) of Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate.

The post was vacant after DCP Hanumantharaya was shifted to law and order department. The State government had transferred Uma to Mangaluru through an order dated September 18.

Uma has worked in the past in different designations at Kunigal, Karwar and Bengaluru.

I am ashamed to say that i too had the brown chaddi..attitude.  but i changed yself nd left the group as they were no different from the touble makers around..i also ask my hindu brothers to give off their ideoloogy and support to such mass murderers and take the route of friendhsip within our community and with hindus and muslims...

 

just keep all these third classs people away.. they are a posion and menace to the society

To maintain peace in mangalore first thing she should do is to arrest all the chaddi terrorists and all the leaders of BD, RSS, RS etc who always trying to disturb the peace. If she control these anti national elements then our kudla will be peaceful. 

 

Note: Manglore is peaceful only because of PFI and SDPI. If these two organisations were not in mangalore then Chaddi terrorists would have destroyed the name of mangalore.

Bengaluru, Mar 16: Hundreds of people gathered to felicitate the newly appointed Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president DK Shivakumar in Bengaluru on Monday.

"Everyone is a team, I'm not alone. We all are together and we will work together," Kumar had said after his appointment.

Shivakumar was appointed as the chief of Karnataka Congress last week on Wednesday.

Party leaders Eshwar Khandre, Satish Jarkiholi and Saleem Ahmed were appointed working presidents of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee.

Bengaluru, Aug 6: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday asked the state chief secretary to take necessary steps in view of the rising rainfall in the state and gave instructions for releasing Rs 50 crore for emergencies.

"CM BS Yediyurappa has instructed Chief Secretary to take appropriate precautions in view of the rise in rainfall activity across the state. CM advised Chief Secretary to keep in touch with district officials and instructed to release Rs 50 crores for emergencies," an official release said.

India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in a number of districts in the state.

CS Patil, Director, India Meteorological Department (IMD) Bengaluru said that red alert has been announced in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Chickamagalur, Shivamogga, Kodagu and Hassan due to heavy rainfall in the region from last two-three days.

Bengaluru, May 8: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Friday held a meeting with opposition parties at his office here over COVID-19 situation in the state.

Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Congress leaders SR Patil and DK Shivakumar participated in the meeting. From Janata Dal (Secular), former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and HD Revanna were present.

"Congress legislative party leader Siddaramaiah and DK Shivkumar have arranged the Chief Minister to request the central government to announce a special package of Rs 50,000 crore to Karnataka to fight coronavirus and also special packages requested for small and medium scale industries," said Siddaramaiah's media secretary.

Meanwhile, Yediyurappa has announced a special package for those involved in leather works, especially those who work on the roadside.

The special package has been announced for cobblers and leather workers, who work on the roadside.
