Mangalore, Oct 25: Universal Welfare Forum (Uniwef) will be organising a ‘Sneha Samvada’ (friendly dialogue) among followers of different faith on Friday, October 27, at 6.30 p.m. at Shanthi Nilaya in Manglauru.

Announcing this at a press meet here on Wednesday, Rafeeuddin Kodruli, chief of Uniwef, said that the chief guests for the event will be Dr M. Annayya Kulal Ulthur, professor, Srinivas College, Abdussalam Puthige, editor in chief of Varthabharati Kannada daily, Br Elias Coelho, managing trustee, Karunya Trust. The speeches will be followed by a panel discussion on the topic, “fanaticism in practicing religion”.
Mr Kudroli said that the ‘Sneha Samvada’ is being held for the 11th consecutive year. He called upon followers of different faith to attend the event. He prioritized the issue of hatred and violence-brewing among different faiths as receiving minimal discussion.
The panel discussion with to and fro interaction is aimed at creating amity among followers of different religions, he said.
