Manipal: Over 5,500 participate in hand-washing event for world record

Mangaluru, Mar 11: Nitte Education Trust is among the top 50 reputed institutions in the country selected by NITI Aayog for setting up Atal Incubation Centre under Union government's Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) scheme.

NITI Aayog has sanctioned Rs 9 Crore to Nitte Education Trust for setting up a full-fledged Incubation Centre at Nitte, of which Rs 2.5 crores has been received as first instalment according to a press release here on Wednesday.

Atal Incubation Centre- Nitte provides start-ups with valuable guidance, technological aid, access to investors, networking and facilitating a host of other services required for start-ups to survive and scale. Start-ups also receive direction through the robust chain of mentors who give sector-specific information and real-time practical guidance.

Mangaluru, Jun 15: NMAM Institute of Technology (NMAMIT), Nitte, is organizing a webinar on 'Engineering Education & Employment Prospects - Post COVID’ on June 20 from 10 am to 11 am.

Dr Niranjan N Chiplunkar, principal, NMAMIT, Prof (Dr) K Rajesh Shetty, dean (Admissions & Alumni Affairs) department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, NMAMIT and Prof Shalini K Sharma, head, Abhyuday, department of Counselling, Welfare, Training & Placement, NMAMIT, will be the resource persons for the event.

Mangaluru, Jan 23: The Muslim Central Committee of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi and Humanity Forum of Mangaluru today handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to the aggrieved family of Naushin, who was killed in arbitrary police firing on December 19 in the city.

A team of philanthropists led by Muslim Central Committee chairman K S Mohammad Masood visited Shaheed Nausheen’s house at Kudroli and handed over the cheque. Several philanthropists have contributed to this humanitarian aid.

Corporator Shamsuddin Kudroli, S M Rasheed Haji, Mansoor Ahmed Azad, Ibrahim Kodichal, Haneef Haji, Asif Deals and Ashraf Kinara were present among others.
