Manoj Bajpayee: Neeraj Pandey and I can relate to each other

Mar 30: He is reuniting with his frequent collaborator Neeraj Pandey for 'Naam Shabana' and actor Manoj Bajpayee said that he can relate to the filmmaker as they both have similar work values.

neerajBajpayee has worked with Pandey in his directorial venture 'Special 26', his production 'Saat Uchakkey' and a short film 'Ouch'. "Our values remain the same and we relate to each other. We know each other," Bajpayee told when asked about his chemistry with Pandey.

Calling the director a 'genius', the actor said, "He has the ability to take a real story and put it out in a manner which is very appealing."

Pandey's production 'Naam Shabana' has been directed by Shivam Nair. "It is the story of a simple girl becoming extraordinary. It is a very unique, mainstream film," Bajpayee said.

Apart from 'Naam Shabana', Bajpayee will be also seen in 'Sarkar 3', 'Missing' and 'Love Sonia.'

In his over 20-year career, Bjapayee has given notable performances in films like 'Satya', 'Kaun', 'Shool', 'Zubeidaa', 'Pinjar', 'Raajneeti', 'Gangs of Wasseypur' and the recent 'Aligarh'.

The actor said he has evolved as an actor over the years. "I have my own method but I don't have only one method. When you are evolving as a person, you also evolve as an actor. In acting, when your understanding abut the real person and life evolves, your method also evolves."

When asked how he prepares himself for a role, the actor said, "I look at script. I keep changing from film to film. During the shoot of some films, I don't talk to anybody. For some others I keep laughing. For some films I go back to the script again and again, and for some (other scripts) I read for 6-7 times and then I don't go through the script any more."

Bajpayee said his 1998 crime drama 'Satya' changed film making in Bollywood. "From Anurag Kashyap to Neeraj Pandey all were inspired by 'Satya' in a way. All are fantastic directors."

Agartala, May 28: Tripura Police has registered a complaint against Bangladeshi singer Mainul Ahsan Nobel, who earned fame in the music reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' in Kolkata, for allegedly humiliating Prime Minister Narendra Modi over social media.

The complaint was filed by a resident of Belonia town in South Tripura district who is a student of Pandit Deen Dayal Petroleum University at Gandhinagar in Gujarat.

The complaint was filed on May 25, the person who is called Suman Paul said.

Nobel is not yet a popular singer in Bangladesh and has always been rejected by the audience of that country. He participated in the TV music reality show called Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in Kolkata, earned money, gained fame and returned to Bangladesh. If the person insults our prime minister it cannot be accepted. So I filed the FIR, Paul told reporters.

Belonia superintendent of police Jal Singh Meena confirmed that the complaint was registered and forwarded to Tripura Polices cyber crime cell.

The complaint was registered the same day it was filed at Belonia police station under Indian Penal code sections 500 (punishment for defamation), 504 (intentional insult), 505 (public mischief) and the IT Act.

We have registered the complaint and forwarded it to the cybercrime cell because it is not in the Indian cyberspace. We have started an investigation into the issue, the SP said.

Rajib Dutta, the officer-in-charge of Belonia police station said that as per the complaint the Bangladeshi singer had abused Modi in a Facebook post calling him a "mere chaiwala (tea seller)'.

New Delhi, Feb 19: Deepika Padukone on Wednesday shared her much-awaited first look from the upcoming sports-drama '83' as Romi Dev, wife of cricket stalwart Kapil Dev. The actor also penned a message expressing gratitude for the iconic role.

The 'Chhapaak' actor shared the still on Twitter along with a caption that reads, "To play a small part in a film that captures one of the most iconic moments in sporting history has been an absolute honour!83 for me is an ode to every woman who puts her husband's dream before her own..."

In the absorbing first look, Deepika is seen sharing a smile along with Ranveer Singh, she is also seen sporting short hair. The star is seen wearing a high-neck top, while Ranveer is wearing team India's official blazer.

Previously, Ranveer shared the teaser of the flick in an event, which gave a glance of the lead characters of the flick featuring Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Jiiva as K Srikkanth, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma, Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil, Dinker Sharma as Kirti Azad and Nishant Dahiya as Roger Binny, Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Sahil Khattar as Syed Kirmani, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Singh Sandhu and Addinath M Kothare as Dilip Vengsarkar, Dhairya Karwa as Ravi Shashtri and R Badree as Sunil Valson along with Pankaj Tripathi as PR Man Singh.

Mumbai, Jul 21: Police have recorded statements ofthree psychiatrists and a psychotherapist as part of their probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput last month, a senior official said on Monday.

Their "statements were recorded over the last three- four days" by the Bandra police who are probing the case, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone IX) Abhishek Trimukhe.

The late actor was consulting these mental health professionals and hence their statements were recorded as part of the ongoing probe, police said.

Rajput was undergoing treatment for depression since November 2019, they said.

Rajput, 34, was found hanging in his suburban Bandra apartment on June 14 in what the police claimed was a case of suicide. In the initial investigation, the Mumbai police had found that the actor was under medication for depression.

So far, the police have recorded statements of over 36 people, including director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Bollywood casting director Mukesh Chhabra, actress Sanjana Sanghi and Rajput's friend Sandip Singh, among others.

Rajput's friend, actor Rhea Chakraborty, has also given her statement to the police.

Filmmaker Aditya Chopra recorded his statement in connection with the case at the Versova Police Station on Saturday.

Rajput starred in films such as 'Shuddh Desi Romance', 'Raabta', 'Kedarnath' and 'Sonchiriya'. But his most prominent role came as cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the biopic, 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story'.
