Media not following ethics, spreading lies to malign me: Dr Zakir Naik

July 9, 2016

Mumbai, Jul 9: Internationally acclaimed orator Dr Zakir Naik, who is facing heat over reports that one of the Dhaka attackers was inspired by his speeches, today said that no Bangladesh government official had said that he inspired the act of terrorism.

1zakir"I spoke to Bangladeshi government people. They told me that they do not believe I inspired these Bangladeshi terrorists to do this act of killing innocent people. That is a different issue that he was my fan," Naik said.

"There are millions of fans of mine throughout the world. More than 50 per cent Bangladeshis are my fans but to say that I inspired him to kill innocent human beings is devilish," Naik said in a video released here.

Naik, who is in Saudi Arabia now, said the only country which had banned him from entering was the United Kingdom.

"The only country that I am aware that I was once banned from entering once was the UK. I don't have any proof that any country has banned me officially. And Malaysia? It is illogical because less than three years back, I got Tokoh Mall Hijrah award and King Faisal International Prize, which is the highest award of Malaysia...," he said.

"In the last 25 years, I was the fourth foreigner to get this award... Can they award a person who promotes terrorism? Indian newspapers picked up Dhaka newspaper report without verifying it," he added.

Slamming the Indian media of being short on ethics and picking up things from Daily Star, a Bangladesh media outlet, without verifying, Dr Naik said: “They did not follow ethics of journalism.” He said that Indian media were out to “malign” him and that people should not believe in what is shown unless they cross check.

A Dhaka report has said Bangladesh government was investigating Naik and examining the possibilities of banning his "provocative" speeches in the wake of two brutal terrorist attacks in the country within a week, in which 25 people died.

Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said its intelligence agencies were investigating the Islamic preacher.

"He is on our security scanner... Our intelligence agencies are investigating his activities as his lectures appeared provocative," Khan said.

Maharashtra government has ordered a probe into the speeches by the 50-year-old Mumbai-based televangelist that has kicked up a storm.

Activities of his NGO, Islamic Research Foundation, are also under the scanner of the Union Home Ministry amid allegations that funds from abroad received by it have been spent on political activities and inspiring people towards radical views.

Old tactics of MEDIA to fool the fools who accept whatever said and spilled...
Who says we are intelligent ?
Unless YOU ponder and Verify the news ... People are fools.
Dont be a part of those who support the big liars of our time by keeping quiet to the lies of the media.
Wake up and voice out against the media which clearly spread lies since decades and disrupt the society.

Alappuzha, Jan 4: The management committee of a mosque in Kerala is all set to solemnize the wedding of a Hindu couple, setting yet another instance of the communal harmony prevailing in Kerala.

The Cheravally Muslim Jamaat Committee at Kayamkulam in Alappuzha district in South Kerala is conducting the marriage of Anju and Sharath after the bride's mother approached the Jamaat authorities seeking help.

The marriage will be held at the mosque premises on January 19 as per Hindu rituals and the Jamaat Committee has also prepared the invitations.

Anju's father Ashokan died a few years back and her mother Bindhu was struggling to win bread for her three children. Nujumudeen Alummoottil, a businessman and secretary of the Jamaat had helped the family earlier also.

Hence Bindu sought his help for the marriage of Anju. Nujumudeen discussed it with other members of the Jamaat committee and members of the mosque.

Najumudeen said that there was no hesitation from anyone on conducting the marriage by the mosque at its premises. A gift in cash and gold would be also given to the couple.

Kerala recently witnessed a church allowing the Muslim believers who participated in an anti-CAA meet to offer namaz at the church premises and another church conducting a carol service with the youth of the parish dressed up in traditional Muslim attire.

Kerala is unique in India for cordial relation between different religions.  However, this is not being digested by sanghis and are trying to build gulf between the communities.  I am sure that people will not let theese anti national succeed in their wicked behaviour.   This communal harmoney is a slap on the faces of enemies of society.    Well done keralites.  Salute to all of you.

Bengaluru: Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa on Tuesday shuffled the portfolios of six newly inducted ministers after they expressed unhappiness about the departments allocated to them barely 24 hours ago.

Three ministers — BC Patil, Anand Singh and K Gopalaiah — received new responsibilities and as many — Shivaram Hebbar, Srimanth Patil and Byrathi Basavaraj — have been saddled with more.

Sources said the six ministers met the CM late Monday night and said they were not happy with the portfolios handed to them. They reportedly threatened not to assume office until their demands were met, forcing the CM to effect the changes early Tuesday.

BC Patil is now vested with agriculture (he had been given forest), Anand Singh forest, environment and ecology (earlier food and civil supplies) and Gopalaiah food and civil supplies (instead of small-scale industries). BC Patil said, “I’m happy I can now be with farmers.” Shivaram Hebbar has been given the additional responsibility of sugar along with labour allocated to him on Monday.

Allocation of the forest portfolio to Anand Singh has raised eyebrows as the Vijayanagara MLA had been arrested in 2013 and 2015 in cases of illegal mining and illegal transportation of mining ore. Singh owned SB Mineral in Ballari and the Lokayukta had charged him with transporting 17,086 tonnes of iron ore without permission or valid licence. He was acquitted in a Belikeri iron ore export case due to lack of evidence.

Byrathi Basvaraj, who has been given the urban development ministry, will also handle Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board and Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation.

Srimanth Patil has received minority welfare department apart from textile.

The exercise of portfolio shuffling is likely to continue with minister K Sudhakar reportedly unhappy with medical education.

In another embarrassment to the CM, Mahesh Kumathalli on Tuesday refused to take over as chairman of the Mysore Sales International Ltd, saying he wants to be a minister. BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal urged Yediyurappa to induct Kumathalli into the cabinet in line with the promise made to him when he joined the BJP before bypolls. “The CM must keep his word,” he said.
