Lucknow Jun 4: A seven-year-old gang rape victim was allegedly discharged from a government hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Allahabad town, about 200 kilometres from here, barely a day before chief minister Yogi Adityanath's visit to the city on Sunday.rogi

The mother of the victim alleged that the doctors at the Women's Hospital forced her to take the victim home on Saturday saying that she was all right.

''The doctors had earlier told me that it would take several days for the minor to be all right and that she would have to be in the hospital for some more days,'' the mother alleged.

She said that two police personnel escorted her and the victim home on Saturday.

Sources said that the minor had allegedly been gang-raped by four people a week back after being taken at a secluded place a few hundred metres away from her home. The alleged accused persons have been arrested by the police.

The victim was bleeding profusely when she was found by her mother a little later and admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.

A medical examination confirmed rape. The doctors had then said that the minor victim had suffered serious injuries in her inner parts.

Sources said that Adityanath, who was on a visit to Allahabad on Sunday, could visit the hospital as well and the doctors feared that he might meet the victim and her family there.

The Hospital authorities, however, denied the allegations and said that the victim was discharged after her condition improved and it was felt that she did not require hospitalization.

Earlier also UP officials, apparently aiming to impress Adityanath, had distributed soaps, shampoos, and perfumes among members of 'Mushar' (Dalit) community in Kushinagar district and asked them to use the same before meeting the chief minister.
