Mysuru, Jan 19: Taking a swipe at the Bharatiya Janata Party, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that it’s unethical to misuse religion for political gains.

Speaking at the valedictory function of the Suttur Jathra Mahotsava, CM said that a political party in India is expert in misusing religion for political gains and fooling people

He said the Congress government would not allow any party to divide society on caste and community lines, and would curb forces trying to create enmity and unrest among people.

He urged people to be weary of divisive forces and said it was inhuman to divide society for “political benefits”.

He also said he had lived up to the expectations of the public and fulfilled the promises made in the 2013 poll manifesto. Listing his government’s achievements, he said they had distributed over 1.8 lakh laptops to students who had passed PU, irrespective of caste.

Stop your political publicity stunt mr. siddu. You are using religion and faith for your votes. You used Tipu matter to get Muslim votes and support.

Actually both BJP and Congress wont do anything that completely harm rival party. They are in good relation in background. Only poor brainless workers being scapegoats for them. In front of public they will oppose each other and and blame each other

Bengaluru, May 3: The Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare Services in the government of Karnataka KA Dayanand issued an order approving quarantine of asymptomatic COVID-19 infected international passengers on payment basis at star hotels.

The international passengers in the state have been categorised into A, B and C groups depending on their symptoms and co-morbid conditions. Category A passengers are symptomatic and are being sent to isolation hospitals which may be COVID care centres.

Category B and C passengers are asymptomatic and are being sent to institutional facilities like hostels, guest houses, hotels, etc.

"On the basis of demands by category B and C passengers to provide them star hotel accommodation on a self-payment basis, they have been granted the choice of staying in those hotels at their own cost. The BBMP Special Commissioner/Deputy Commissioner can have a meeting with such hotels and finalise the negotiated rate," Commissioner Dayanand said in the order.

"The hotels for category B passengers should have round the clock presence of health personnel while hotels for category C passengers should be visited by health staff once a day," he added.
