Shamshabad, Mar 10: Prominent South Indian film actress Vijayashanti, who was once a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party has openly compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a terrorist.

Speaking at a rally which was also addressed by Rahul Gandhi, the actress-turned-politician, who is now with Congress claimed that people are scared of Modi as they don’t know when he would throw a “bomb”.

“People are scared as they don’t know which kind of bomb Modi will throw, and when. Modi looks like a terrorist,” she alleged, while speaking in Telugu.

“The public should be loved, but Modi scares them. A prime minister should not do such a thing,” said Vijayashanti, who belongs to Hindu community.

At the same rally, Rahul alleged that Modi was making "two Indias" — one for the poor and the other for wealthy and rich people.

“Since the last 5 years, he (Modi) is making two Indias - one is of wealthy people like Anil Ambani who travel in private planes and achieve what they like. While in second India, farmers beg with folded hands for a loan waiver, while finance minister Arun Jaitley says that there is no policy of waving farm loans,” the Congress chief said.

He also claimed that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is being "remote controlled" by Prime Minister Modi.

"KCR and his party (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) support BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in every decision in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. How many times has your chief minister commented on the Rafale deal? Did he ever say that Narendra Modi has stolen Rs 30,000 crore of public money? Did he ever ask for any inquiry or investigation? Why not? Because he wants Narendra Modi to become the prime minister (again)."

Bengaluru, Mar 22: Monday's only pending II PU exam (English) and SSLC exams scheduled to start on March 27 have been postponed due to Covid-19 concerns. The new dates will be announced in April first week.

The decision was taken after a meeting with chief minister BS Yediyurappa on Sunday morning, said state primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar.

Around 8.25 lakh students are to appear for the Class 10 exam.

"I appeal to SSLC students not to get frustrated. I know you're fully prepared, fully geared up. But this is a peculiar situation which calls for hard decisions. The new timetable will be published very soon. Students should treat is as an extended study leave. Please revise more. Do not treat this as a relaxation time. You'll have plenty of time to relax after the exams," he said.
