‘Mogan Tujea’ konkani movie premier in Dubai on Nov 17

Dubai, Nov 11: Skeeva Jewel Films maiden venture ‘MoganTujea’ a super hit Goan Konkani Love Story Produced by R. Jovito Rodrigues & Jayson Colaco is all set to have a premier release in Dubai, Grand Hyatt, Galleria Theater, Deira on Friday the 17th of November, 2017 at 5 PM.  Same day there will be another show in Novo Theatres, Sahara Centre at 8 PM.  Other shows will be on 24th November in Abu Dhabi & Dubai.

Directed by R. Jovito Rodrigues the movie is a new sensational love story ever made in Goan history and has been released across Goa & Karnataka recently.  Liked by all the Konkani Movie lovers, ‘MoganTujea’ is based on the life story of the greatest singer of Konkani Lorna Cordeiro popularly known as ‘Goan Nightingale’ who has created a record for herself in the signing field.

It has BrijeshKakodkar, Daksha Shirodkar&Casiana Eddie D’Souza in the lead roles.  ElickVaz is the Assistant Director as well as the Music Director who has scored some of the beautiful numbers which has already hit every home in Goan.  Story, Script & Screenplay is being handled by Jovito Rodrigues himself.  The Lyrics are penned by ElickVaz& Mathew Rodrigues.  Editing, VFX & Grading is being done by Pintu Biswas.  Cinematography was beautifully captured by Lester Fernandes while the Dialogues were penned by Jovito Rodrigues &ElickVaz themselves.  Suresh Kumar handled the sound effect while Nidhin Jo Jacob provided the background score for the entire film.  PranChouguledid the creative make-up for all the artiste while Cecil Rodrigues & Darren Fernandez beautifully choreographed all the song sequences.  Concept was by Reeya Pereira and the entire film was dubbed at Vel Tuned.  The complete film was dubbed VelroyFernandes and 5.1 mxi done at Daijiworld Audio Visual Pvt. Ltd., Mangalore.

After making waves in India ‘MoganTujea’ is all set for worldwide release in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Muscat, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Israel, Canada, London & Australia.

Dr Soofi Anwar, Director Academics of University of Stirling RAK, UAE Campus, has achieved the prestigious professional recognition of Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) UK. He has achieved this milestone through the Stirling Framework for Evidencing Learning and Teaching Enhancement (SFELTE), the Continuing Professional Development Framework (CPD) for learning and teaching at University of Stirling, Scotland, UK. 

He was recognized for this achievement on recently concluded virtual Learning & Teaching Conference-2020 organized by University of Stirling Campus in UK.  He has secured his Ph.D. in Management from University of Azteca, Mexico.

Dr. Soofi Anwar has over 20 years of experience in teaching and academic leadership at higher education level and has worked in leading universities in UAE, Bahrain and India. He was conferred the prestigious Middle East Education Leadership Award, as the Best Professor in Management-2018 in recognition of his academic excellence, exemplary leadership in higher education. Prior to his current role, he has worked on leadership position in Birla Institute of Technology Offshore Campus RAK.

He has completed his MBA from Dept. of Business Administration, Mangalore University in 1999 and his B. Com degree from Canara College Mangaluru.

He has published numerous research papers in management and in the area of teaching and learning in higher education in reputed academic journals and international conferences proceedings. He is a member of editorial board of two leading management journals and engaged in reviewing faculty research publications in the area of management and marketing. 

He is a son of Haji Abdul Khadar Kodijal and Mrs. Mariyamma from Konaje, Mangaluru.

Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) Chaiman Dr Sam Pitroda held video conference with senior IOC office bearers across Middle Eastern countries on 14th April 2020 to review the impact of COVID-19 pandemic among Indians residing in the region. Almost all speakers appreciated the efforts initiated and  implemented by  respective governments to contain spread of the deadly virus as well as measures taken towards welfare of the people affected by the lockdown. 

IOC Presidents, Mohammed Mansour - Bahrain, Abdullah Manjeri - Saudi Arabia, Dr J Ratan kunar - Oman and Girish kumar - Qatar, highlighted the quality treatment of patients and finacial aid provided by governments and other authorities. Bahrain IOC president Mansour , also  apprised about the 'Food for Needy' drive in Association with KHK Heroes foundation, initiated by HH Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa and quality treatments as well as financial aid to local and expat residents.

Anura Mathai, IOC  Global Event Coordinator, spoke about certain problems of Indians in the UAE. IOC Middle East Convener, Mansoor Palloor, emphasised and requested IOC Chairman to urge Indian government to arrange immediate repatriation of indians stranded in Gulf countries. AICC Secretary, Himanshu Vyas, IOC Secretary Dr Arathi Krishna, Dr Arshi Malik (Abha), Mohiuddin Sirajudeen (Jeddah), Advocate Joseph Palathara (Dammam) Prasad Kodru, Jayati Maitra Ziyad Ahmed (Qatar) and Khursheed Alam (Gen Secretary- Bahrain) also apprised the participants about various issues relevant to the pandemic and suggested further initiatives to be undertaken. 

Dr Sam Pitroda briefed about sustained and consolidated efforts by all IOC members  during this unprecedented situation facing the world and assured that he would convey IOC  concerns to the government and try his best to ensure all possible help is made available to all needy Indians.
