Multitalented Ganesh Rai bags ‘Global Man Award 2015’

Dubai, Nov 19: Former president of Sharjah Karnataka Sangha, BK Ganesh Rai is being conferred with the 'Global Man Award 2015' for his contributions to Kannada language, literature, art, folk and social service in India and oversees. The award will be presented to him during the 12th Vishwa Kannada Samskruthi Sammelana & 13th anniversary of Sharjah Karnataka Sangha Celebrations to be held on 19th & 20th of November, 2015 at Al Boom Tourist Village, Sharjah, UAE.

Ganesh Rai is the name which flashes in the minds of every Kannadiga specially in UAE when matters of creativity is concerned. Multi-talented, one can call him "Sakala Kala Vallaban", it may be different forms of painting from miniatures to wall size, various forms of sculptures from paper pulp to plaster or parry's, Large stage settings, Tablos, Palatial Sets, Photography, Videography, Brochures, Digital Banners, Souvenirs, Models, etc. you name it and you will find the skills in this great man, Ganesh Rai. He will simply smile and says yes 'I will do it' without any hesitations as for him work is worship and so he does it in ease. For that matter it is not only Ganesh's hand work doing the job; he is a good speaker too who came out to be the receiver of "Karnataka State Best Teacher Award" in the year 1993.

Straight from Coorg (Mercara) or the so called 'Madikeri' as it was also called 'Scotland of India' by the inspired British who occupied this area for over 100 years, Ganesh Rai is born to Thulasiamma and Krishnappa Rai parents who themselves sound 'Krishna Tulasi' close to the Lords.
