Muslims cannot use cow urine products, reminds Darul Uloom

Lucknow, Aug 22: Use of any product which has cow urine is banned in Islam, the Darul Uloom in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh, has ruled, an official said on Monday.

Darul Uloom, the highest seat of education in Islam, was responding to a query by a commoner about the products of Patanjali, the brand of yoga guru-turned-entrepreneur Baba Ramdev. The Deoband seminary said that the products which had "declared contents of urine of cow" were 'najayaz' (unlawful) in Islam.

A person had asked the Darul Ifta department about the sanctity of such use. The seminary, in its response dated August 18, clarified that while other products of Patanjali could be used, any product which declares that it had cow urine in it, should not be used by Muslims, as it was in contravention of the tenets of the religion.

1. You Should Worship One True God (creator)
2. You need to know which is Life manual for the human beings &
3. Who bring that manual & taught how to lead a life successful.

Even by mistake step on to cow urine have to clean immediately with Dettol soap because it contains lots of germs, forget about drink...its really bullshit

Why should we use this brand PATANJALI,

What is the guarantee he does not use urine when he is using it in other products.

Muslims should boycott such products. Produce your own product which can be useful to all communities.

Yes, it is dirty...do not touch and smell it....forget about using...you cannot smell it....

Urine is waste of our body which God has made a system to remove bad things from our body... And U stupid guys want to drink it... clearly evils acts to follow its way of eating waste

Mangaluru: NIT-K produces hand sanitizers in view of shortage in market

Mangaluru, Apr 4: The chemistry department of National Institute of Technology-Karnataka (NIT-K) here has started producing hand sanitizers in view of its shortage in the market after the coronavirus outbreak.

The social initiative led by Arun Isloor, professor and head of the department, was launched by NIT-K director K Uma Maheshwar Rao.

The raw materials needed for this product were provided by the institute.

Students, teachers in Karnataka capital protest against attack on JNU

Bengaluru, Jan 6: Students and teachers from various colleges in Bengaluru gathered at the Town Hall in the city to protest against the violence which broke out at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus in New Delhi on January 5.

The students raised slogans against Home Minister Amit Shah and Delhi Police.

Placards that read 'The more you attack, the stronger we become', 'Take off your masks terrorist', 'With JNU' were seen during the protest.

"We are here to protest against the incident that took place at JNU with our brothers and sisters. What Delhi Police did was shameful and they should have taken charge of the situation long before and not waited for three hours. We stand with JNU," Nisha, a protestor told ANI.

Professors present at the protest expressed regret over the incident and said attacks on the universities is a sick situation in the country.

"This is sick, where have we come to -- violence in the universities? I was so safe when I was studying in college; what we are giving to our students is horrible," said Sangeeta, a professor present at the protest.

Politicians, cutting across party lines, have condemned the attack on students in JNU and demanded strict action against those found guilty.

More than 18 students were taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre after a masked mob entered the JNU campus and attacked them and some professors with sticks and rods.

With 596 marks Udupi’s Abhijna Rao is II PUC science Karnataka topper; 100% in 5 subject

Udupi, Jul 14: Abhijna Rao, a student of Vidyodaya PU College, Udupi, has emerged state topper in the science stream of II PUC.

Abhijna has secured 596 marks in the II PUC examination-2020, the results of which were announced on Tuesday July 14. She scored a perfect 100 marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science (PCMC). In Sanskrit and English she scored 100 and 96 marks respectively.

She had secured second position in the Karnataka SSLC examinations two years ago.

She is daughter of Asha Rao and Vittal Rao, a retired professor. Her sister Raksha Rao has completed Engineering from NITK Suratkal.

“After securing second rank in the state in SSLC, my target was to score more in PUC examinations. My parents and lecturers have supported me in my studies. All my teachers gave me proper guidance. Vidyodaya College also supported me. I was studying on a daily basis. The exams were easy and I had expected to score above 590. I am very happy to score 596," she said.
