Muthalik's bid to enter trouble-hit Mysuru averted; sent back from Maddur

Mysuru, Mar 20: The Mandya district revenue officials and police prevented Sri Ram Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik from entering the district, on Saturday, following a notice issued from the Mysuru police to maintain law and order.

mutalik Mr. Muthalik, a controversial leader known for his provocative speeches, was heading to Mysuru to meet the family of BJP worker Raju, who was murdered at Kyathamaranahalli in Mysuru, recently.

Mr. Muthalik had also planned to address mediapersons in Mandya and Mysuru. However, the police stopped him at Nidaghatta, Mandya-Ramanagaram border, on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway.

On Saturday morning, Vidyaranyapura police, in Mysuru, had issued a notice to Mr. Muthalik instructing him not to enter Mysuru. They met him at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru, and issued the notice.

In spite of the issuance of notice, he tried to visit Mysuru.

The Mysuru police requested the Mandya district police to prevent his entry, a senior police officer said.

Not to be heard for so long period of time...useless creature looking to create more and more problems around...does not like people living in peaceful manner...and looking to put more salt in to painful wounds...should get this creatures out from the country permanently...

Better, Mysore will be saved from the few who just create troubles without verifying and following blindly when the evils of our society spills the venom.

Mangaluru: Over 1500 students, teacehrs to take part in ABVP state conference

Mangaluru, Feb 6: Over 1500 students and teachers are expected to take part in a three-day State-level conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) starting on Friday here.

Reception Committee chairman K.C. Nayak and secretary Shantharama Shetty told reporters here today that Deputy Chief Minister C.N. Ashwath Narayana would inaugurate the conference at the Kudmul Ranga Rao Town Hall.

The former ABVP national president and former Nagaland Governor P.B. Acharya would preside over the programme that would be attended by Mangalore University Vice-Chancellor P.S. Yadapadithaya, ABVP national organising secretary Ashish Chauhan and others.

In this conference students will be taught about how to attack on universities and how to spread the communal agenda of ABVP.

COVID-19 scare: Techies in Bengaluru asked to work from home

Bengaluru, Mar 10: Techies living in a Whitefield apartment block where the city's first Coronavirus patient was residing have been asked to work from home.

The Karnataka government is in touch with the heads of IT and ITES companies, some of which are said to have asked their staff to work from home.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr C Ashwath Narayan, who also holds the IT and BT Portfolio, said the government had directed the companies to explore giving their employees the work-from-home option.

Mangaluru, Mar 7: Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Ashwatha Narayana said journalists are facing a challenging task of functioning with credibility while also upholding their professional ethics in this age of globalization where monetary aspects have gained great significance.

Inaugurating the 35th state-level Journalists’ Conference at the Kudmul Rangarao Town Hall on Saturday which was hosted by the DK District Working Journalists’ Union the Deputy CM also said that journalists should refrain from giving priority to political news as that does not serve any purpose for the common man.

Dharmadhikari of the Dharmasthala Temple Dr. D Veerendra Heggade was the chief guest at the event. The souvenir brought out to commemorate the occasion was released by Taranga Editor Sandhya Pai. The Deputy CM also inaugurated a cartoon exhibition organized on the occasion.
